
If you’ve installed the latest version of FlashGet v1.8 Beta 1, you’ll notice that it can support download torrent files which is great news to all torrent downloaders! However, because it’s still in Beta, I wouldn’t want to download torrent files using FlashGet. I prefer to use the smallest torrent client which is µTorrent. Problem is, when I installed FlasGet 1.8 Beta 1, it overwrites the default file opener or handler association for .torrent files with FlashGet. I checked the options on FlashGet and found a box where I can uncheck to disassociate FlashGet with .torrent file. After unchecking the box, weirdly FlashGet will again overwrite the default .torrent file association to FlashGet even though I’ve disabled it.
