About

Hi, my name is Raymond from Malaysia. I’ve spent nearly half of my life on computers yet I still find them very interesting today. I instantly got hooked to the computer when the Internet became available with my cousin’s 14.4Kbps modem on Windows 95. That is when I learn about how to use the computer, reinstall Windows 95, MS-DOS commands and mIRC scripting. A few years later I had the opportunity to work part time in an internet cafe where I get to learn the basics of networking & security and Windows restrictions. After completing my secondary school, I worked at a local computer shop to learn more about hardware by building a computer from ground up, cloning operating systems and solving computer problems.

When I wanted to further my studies, I decided not to pursue a local diploma or degree but instead went for professional certification such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), CompTIA A+, Network+, i-Net+, e-Biz+, Server+, Security+, CIW Security Analyst, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA). I have also successfully completed the Train the Trainer course and “Kursus Induksi Pegawai Pengesah Dalaman Bagi Pelaksanaan Persijilan Kemahiran Malaysia” for MLVK.

Raymond's Professional Certifications

I’ve worked in a few big projects involving setting up rooms with hundreds of computer, networking, maintenance, Windows servers and lecturing. I am currently self-employed but attached full time to a government educational facility as an administrator together with a few freelance part time jobs involving computers.

This website (www.raymond.cc) was started back in 2005 as a personal blog with the sole purpose of noting down interesting findings and experience on computers because I tend to forget what I learn as I learn about computers everyday. Within a short period, this personal blog started to gain popularity attracting millions of visitors around the world every month. Although raymond.cc is still a personal blog today, I’ve emphasized more on providing unbiased information and reviews that are professionally tested with fair testing practices. If you need to contact me, you can do so from this contact form.
