Thx for your comment Amirz.

I do use the AVG AntiRoot and Pccillin from Trend Micro. The only app that identified and removed the Trojan was “Spyware Doctor with Antivirus” (THX Raymond).
However, now I am missing some Win XP system files; the amount of time used to rid the machine of the Trojan and get it running was extensive — better to be proactive and protect your computer from invasion.

to Stan and all include me too: in fact sometimes (some) freewares also contain trojan/malware such viruses. but it’s rather seldom. so it’s recommended you always download them from trusted website (if you have McAfee Siteadvisor installed they usually signed by “green yes”). And the most important thing is always scan them by your updated antivirus/antispyware/antirootkit before and after you install them. thank you very much to remind all of us Stan.
