Help Stop Global Warming NOW

If you didn’t know what Global Warming means, it refers to the increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s near-surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation. An increase in global temperatures may in turn cause other changes, including sea level rise, and changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation resulting in floods and drought. There may also be changes in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, though it is difficult to connect specific events to global warming. Other effects may include changes in agricultural yields, glacier retreat, reduced summer streamflows, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of disease vectors.
I truly support the steps to stop global warming. If you’ve watched Al Gore’s documentary “An Inconvenient Truth“, I am sure you’ll be part of the community to fight global warming. Some of the simple ways to fight global warming are…
* Change a light – Replacing one regular light bulb with a compact fluorescent light bulb will save 150 pounds of carbon dioxide a year.
* Drive less – Walk, bike, carpool or take mass transit more often. You’ll save one pound of carbon dioxide for every mile you don’t drive.
* Recycle more – You can save 2400 pounds of carbon dioxide per year by recycling just half of your household waste.
* Check your tires – Keeping your tires inflated properly can improve gas mileage by more than 3%. Every gallon of gasoline saved keeps 20 pounds of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.
* Use less hot water – It takes a lot of energy to heat water. Use less hot water by installing a low flow showerhead(350 pounds of CO2 saved per year) and washing your clothes in cold or warm water (500 pounds saved per year).
* Avoid products with a lot of packaging – You can save 1200 pounds of carbon dioxide if you cut down your garbage by 10%.
* Adjust your thermostat – Moving your thermostat just 2 degrees in winter and up 2 degrees in summer could save about 2000 pounds of carbon dioxide a year with this simple adjustment.
* Plant a tree – A single tree will absorb one ton of carbon dioxide over its lifetime.
* Turn off electronic devices – Simply turning off your television, DVD player, stereo, and computer when you’re not using them will save you thousands of pounds of carbon dioxide a year.
* And most importantly….

There seems to be much controversy whether or not we humans are to blame for global warming, doesn’t it seem strange to you all that after many years of warnings from scientists it is only now as we all stand on the brink of what could be an horrific future, thyat governments have suddenly decided that we should all do something! And boy are we all gonna pay…financially and physically. These are just a couple of alternative views, and remember almost all people in power and media have a hidden agenda. It’s time to think for yourselves.

Now I’m no redneck, liberal or idiot. I have knowledge and common sense.
Now all of the above IS True. I don’t disagree with any of it (Even the piracy joke)
However it is NOT the primary cause to hurricanes, higher temperatures, and melting of the polar ice caps (Please Note I didnt say it doesnt cause it, i said its not a PRIMARY cause)

Nothing is perfect to us. Our Axis is tilted, our orbit bends, we dont turn EXACTLY 24 hours a day!
As all this is moving around, phases of changes occur.

Well same thing. every (rounded off) half millennial (500 years) or so. Our global temperature drops or raises between 3 and 6 degrees celsius.
Well that isn’t much is it?
On your thermometer, it sure is not. But on a global scale. 4-5 degrees is the difference between a category 5 hurricane, and 5 feet of snow in Downtown Manhattan.
NATURALLY, We change in global temperature. We just had a Global COOLING Phase
The “Mini Ice Age” You could call it.
What Happened?
1. Birds fell dead of frosbite in the cold
2. In the US, the country had a year where it was SNOWING in July.
3. Napolean’s Army couldn’t stand the cold of Russia. Horses would be cut open to take out their meat while MOVING and blood would instantly freeze the wound.
This was from the 1300s to the mid 1800s.
Irony? The Industrial Revolution came in the mid 1800s
My point,
Carbon Dioxide, cars, power plans and burning those fossil fuels CAUSES problems, but the #1 reason for this all is NATURAL.
Meaning reverse that stuff. It can be that bad.
And there is no stopping to it.
I’m not saying to not help prevent carbon dioxide being released. That just lessens the damage. And helps the enviroment in the long run.
It may seem bad, but nature rebuilds itself to ANY condition. So we’ll be alright.
Sorry for double posting. But those carbon numbers are debatable.
You need to look at the fact big states have it not only harder for more people are there.
but corruption, things slipping and all other issues come in.
Nothing is balanced. So you get issues and things that conflict with those charts

Its proved that arctic melting is not caused by a minor change in orbit or axis, but its due to carbon and CFC (chlorofluorocarbon ). The equations and proofs of the famous scientists like Stephen Hawking cant go wrong and if you still have any doubts then the history speaks.

Okay, then explain Ozzy. A Caveman found in the alps with food in his stomach, frozen by permafrost.
EXPLAIN why he was hunting in the freezing alps
simple. It was freezing alps when he was there. it was temperate meadows and valleys.
however, when he was hunting. A MASSIVE storm rushed in, instantly covering him with ice and snow. Preserving him.
That happened around the end of the warming phase and beginning of the cooling phase many many years ago. It just so happens we are in those phases.
However. if you disagree. Then I bet you couldnt give 100% proof that CFC’s are the 1 reason to our global warming.
It just is we don’t know enough to fully prove either
I do what I can for the environment especially where it saves me money but a lot of this is hype by the government (especially in the UK) to bring in yet another tax. The measures that individuals can take is insignificant. The UK contributes around 2% to the worlds greenhouse gases. If the UK stopped ALL pollution overnight it would be replaced in around 12 months by China increasing its pollution. Until China and USA get REALLY serious about cutting emissions then we are all wasting our time. The Earth is doomed!

If we care about it, we do our part in not wasting.
Global warming is nice because it keeps our winters warmer, because i hate freezing hands. Thank goodness we’re all using so much energy.

I agree we are going through a warming phase now to how far this will affect the natural world I do not know. Yes, temps are rising and things are beginning to change but this could just be a phase that earth goes through every few millions of years…
Spit out the Koolaid. That Polar Bear is out for a swim, they can swim leagues and leagues. They are not in danger, Polar Bear populations are at their highest. The smoke coming from those stacks is steam, which is the most abundant so called greenhouse gas. Al Gore has bought a condo in his own predicted flood plains of San Francisco with the money he has collected you global warming dummies. If we didn\\\\\\\’t have green house gasses this planet would be an ice rock in space. Carbon is plant food, you exhale carbondioxide, you can not stop carbon. Your collective effect on trying to change the worlds tempature would would be the same as getting everyone to jump up on the earth at the same time to cause and earthquake. Also, Polar bears do not hibernate, not really.

The vast majority of scientists who have studied this matter believe that the earth is warming and that humans are now one of the causes. are they all lying? The earth has been cooling and warming up for millions of years. Perhaps Humans have contributed but did the cave men change the earth during their time.
Glogal warming. Its happening and its gradually increasing every year. because of man putting too much CO2 into the air the planet is warming and fast. we all need to help in some way or we will die. Think of the poor polar bears and wildlife that live on the ice. Their homes are melting and soon they’ll have no where to go. How would you feel if your home was being taken away from you and you had no where to go? when i’m an adult i am going to stop global warming and save the planet and its beautiful god given creatures. Watch Al Gores DVD An inconvient truth and you’ll see what i mean. Help by using energy efficient apliances, planting trees and do your bit to save our planet so the new generations can enjoy it for years to come. God looks down on the earth and he is not pleased with some of us poluting his creation. humans have become too smart. We can all do this together.
