The problem is, what if the network administrator don’t allow you to install and run bittorrent client such as uTorrent or Azureus? No problem at all! You can still download your favorite movie from torrent even if you can’t install and run bittorrent client on the computer.
Use BitLet, a web-based BitTorrent client! You don’t need to download or install any BitTorrent client. Just visit BitLet’s website, enter the torrent metafile URL and press Download torrent. Torrent metafile URL means the direct link to the .torrent file. For example,
http://torrent.fedoraproject.org/torrents/Fedora-8-Test-1-i386.torrent.
I’ve tried downloading Fedora using BitLet. It’s works and does not require any configuration at all. After entering the torrent metafile URL and pressed the Download torrent button, a popup will appear. It will say “Downloading metafile“.

Once the torrent metafile is downloaded, it will ask you where you want to save the downloaded file.

Finally, it will start downloading the torrent. It will show your download speed.

Best part about BitLet is, it supports resuming. Every time you restart a download just click save in the same location where you saved the download the first time (the applet will propose it by default), and your download will be resumed.
Important Note: BitLet is not totally flawless because you must have Sun Java installed. If the administrator also blocks Java from being installed on your computer, then you won’t be able to use BitLet. Since Java is widely being used, I believe network administrators won’t block Java from being installed on a computer.

where can i find torrent metafile URLs?
i tried to download torrents using bitlet, but it does not work. the java platform (save in) does not save the files to my computer.
My download won\’t start.
status is \”No connection established\”.
Anyone can help??
i can download normally up to 100kb/s but when I’m downloading torrents using uTorrent it reaches 6kb/s maximum for all torrents ( 1Kb/s Each) Is It My Connection Or What?? Can I Fix That So I Could Reach My 100Kb/s?
I think using bit torrent will have the same result 6kb/s
BiltLet is great if you don’t have any connection issue with your firewall, connexion speed and router. If not, and you’re willing to throw a few bucks, there’s another alternative name http://www.torrentrun.com that allows you to run your torrents on there server and pick them up at high speed later.
Bitlet isn’t a bad program, but I had a lot of trouble finding torrents meta file, instead just download the torrent to your computer, then choose the “select local .torrent” option, right next to “download torrent.” Then all you have to do is choose the torrent you saved to your computer. Easy
