Most of the time I don’t take note of the URL when I was jumping from website to another. Sometimes my browser will be filled with so many tabs and it slows down my computer. Then I’d get frustrated when my computer becomes slow and I will press CTRL+W multiple times to quickly close the tabs. OMG! One of the tab has a very important website that I wanted to bookmark but forgotten to do that. Is it too late? Will I be able to find back the website?

Do not worry because the developers of web browsers has figured out this scenario and implemented a feature where we can reopen accidentally closed tab.

Here’s how you can reopen closed tabs on Firefox, Opera, Maxthon, Safari and Internet Explorer.

Firefox
Command Key: Ctrl+Shift+T
Interface: Click on History at Firefox menu bar, and view Recently Closed Tabs.

Maxthon
Command Key: Alt+Z
Interface: There is an “Undo” button at Maxthon Standard Buttons Toolbar.

Opera
Command Key: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Z
Interface: All closed tabs in Opera end up in the trash can (located on the right-end of the Tab bar). To reopen a closed tab, click on the trash can icon and click on the webpage you want to reopen.

Internet Explorer
Note: You will need to download and install an addon called “IE Open Last Closed Tab” to have this feature. Not sure why only Internet Explorer don’t have this feature built-in.
Command Key: Alt+X
Interface: Click on the Open Last Closed Tab located in Toolbar. If you don’t see the Open Last Closed Tab button in your toolbar, please follow the instruction here on how to add the icon to your toolbar..

Safari 3.0.3 for Windows
Command Key: Unknown
Interface: Click on History on menubar and you’ll see “Reopen Last Closed Window”. I’ve tried to reopen last closed window or last closed tab, and the option is still blurred out. Looks like Safari have this feature in mind but haven’t implemented it.
