Nearly two years ago I posted a free tool called KeyFinder Thing which is able to retrieve serial numbers or CD Keys for 90 types of Windows software installed on your system. This type of software is very useful in case we loose the CD Cover which has the CD key or the email that contains the license key. Although we can always try to contact the software company to retrieve back the lost CD key, but it is troublesome and can be time consuming.

There is good and bad news for KeyFinder Thing. Bad news is the official website is no longer available which means the development for the software has stopped. Good news is you can still find the download link for KeyFinder Thing OR just use another software called SoftKey Revealer which is free and can retrieve much more serial numbers than KeyFinder Thing.
