A week ago on the October 11th marks the third anniversary for this site and I’ve promised to give away 60 Kaspersky Internet Security license (50 KIS license valid for 2 years and 10 KIS license valid for 1 year) to my newsletter subscribers. I stated that I would to announce the winners on last week’s post but seeing that the giveaway posts generated more than a whopping 1325 comments (I wonder if this can get into Guinness World Records for having the most comments in a week in a post), I think it’d be better to sacrifice a day’s post and announce the lucky winners on a new article. So far 9 units of 2 years KIS 2009 license has been given to the active forum members. That means I still have a total of 51 KIS license to be given away.

All comments has been scanned carefully for cheaters who tried to enter more than 1 entry and they are automatically removed from the draw. The legitimate participants email address has been copied to a list randomizer at random.org. The first 41 that appears after shuffling the list will be the lucky winners for 2 years KIS 2009 license and the next 10 will be winners for 1 year KIS 2009 license.

The moment that thousands of you has been waiting for is finally here. The lucky winners are…

  • Congratulations to all lucky subscribers who won the Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 license! You should have received an email from me few hours ago containing the KIS 2009 key. Remember to check your JUNK/SPAM folder first before contacting me. For those that did not win, please don’t be disappointed because I have giveaways nearly every month.

If you already have Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 installed, you can merge this license with your current license to extend the expire date. To merge your license, click the License tab, then Merge/delete button, and select Activate using the key file. Browse for the key that I sent you and click Activate.

If this is your first time installing Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, make sure you uninstall or remove any currently installed antivirus program first. Then follow the steps below.

    1. Download the latest Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 from this page http://www.kaspersky.com/kis_latest_versions and install. There are a few languages for you to choose to download. (English, Russian, Danish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish) There are 2 versions, make sure you download the version 2009 (8.0.0.454) and NOT version 2009 (8.0.0.357).
Note: If you still get Incompatible Software error even after you’ve uninstalled your antivirus, refer to this page for a fix.

    2. When you get a window asking you to active the application, select Activate using key file.
    Kaspersky Offline Activation

    3. Browse for the key that I’ve sent to you and click Activate.

It is important you perform an update after activation to have the most up to date protection from Kaspersky Internet Security. If the Kaspersky Update tab shows 99% update for quite a long time, do not worry because it is actually still downloading the updates. Check the update size and you should see the numbers increasing. Somehow Kaspersky’s update calculation is a little off.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do NOT use the Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 key on more than 1 computer as it will blacklist the key and I won’t get a replacement key for you. The key that I sent you is meant to use on ONE computer only. Enjoy 2 years of FREE Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 protection on your computer!

Thank you all for your support, please do continue supporting this site and I hope I can continue bringing you the best computer tech tips, reviews and free software licenses.
