I ran Avira Antivir Rescue System and it found 3 Trojans and deleted the files; however, now windows will not load at all…I have no idea what to do. It begins at start windows normally…ect..begins to load, a blue screen flashes for a second and I can’t see what it says, then it goes back to the start windows normally…ect..It appears my laptop is destroyed. I don’t have any of the recovery disks for XP…I bought the laptop from a friend…any suggestions?

In some machines with no APCI Bios support, try this
Select Dr Web Live CD (Default)
Press Tab key
add “acpi=off noapic” (without quotes) at the command line end

I too cannot get this to boot. I have an hp and was able to boot the hp diagnostic disc, but I burned the 5.0 version on 2 different discs and neither would boot in any way. Any help?

hey i start the boot but its wont open and the cd works on my other computer. what is going on? it doesnt work on my asus… can some one help me a bit plz

The Xorg didn’t work. Only the Start Menu refreshed. Can’t load the GUI.
