   Netcut – there’s an option to filter invalid MAC addresses there, not sure what netcut is doing. But our focus is to protect against data theft and malware, not locally launched DOS type attack.

   BTW – it’s not just Matousec tests we beat. OA nails Matousec, Online Armor ++ nailed pre-testing at Malware Reseach Group: http://malwareresearchgroup.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2

   Also, we got 99.9% in Static Antimalware tests at PCSL tests recently, and 100% in Dynamic tests. We’re built to protect, and if we win tests too – it’s a bonus.

    The same happened to me earlier.But I tried using it through a UK proxy and I succeeded.

    The proxy I used

    212.113.5.2

    Port number is 80 (check if its still working)

    in firewall>computers it has a option for arp protection was that ticked when you tried as it is unticked in standard config..

    yes, it’s true that there are a lot of firewalls from where you can choose. anyway, i never heard of online armour, is it new? i use firewall + antivirus from bitdefender . nevertheless, i am interested in what appears on the market

    I grabbed it yesterday when i read in the forums….

    Also when u disable everything except firewall and check “Intercept Loopback Zone” many application go online and after a few minutes when everything is done by that app. online ONline Armor comes saying to Allow or Not…wtf its already online this got me pissed Off….

    It’s really great to have such a outstanding firewall for free. I have used online free 1 or two years ago and I admit that this is really a killer app. The thing that impressed me most was not only the firewall, but the high quality and professionalism of OA Forum.

    Hi Guys

    I try to answer a couple of questions that are posted….

    1 – OA is not new, but OA++ is. OA got firewall of the year from Scot Finnie, PC Mag described it as the best firewall you never heard of – and the tech researchers at Matousec, Malware Research group and PC Security lab all rated it highly.

    2 – If you didnt get a licence key yet, use the contact form (after following the correct process, please). If the key has been generated, we’ll do manual resends.

    3 – It is for all countries. If you didnt receive the mail, probably it’s because it was blocked as spam by either your ISP, or your antispam software . Our office emails come from a different server.

    4 – Slow bittorrent – this should be completely solved for some time.

    Raymond,
    got mine without any problems – key and download. For a 2 years subscription in Brazil. Installed fine and seems absolutely transparent on my system. Now some questions :
    1. as far as I can understand, I don’t need any AntiLoggers or Key Koggers any more correct?
    2. and what about WinPatrol “Scotty”? Do I need this one?
    Using NOD32 Antivirus.

    same problem with outpost firewall pro too, ray
    i had set the maximum settings for (arp) attack detection, when i tried netcut the pc from another client on the network, i cannot connect to the internet anymore, my system resources are all used up. that is until i disable netcut.
    i managed to block netcut with antiarp installed , when attacked by netcut, i managed to squeeze some bandwidth to access the internet but its very slow.
    could not try xarp on my xp machine because no network interface detected. even though i got both wireless and ethernet adapter on my laptop. still finding the answer.
    however xarp do work on my vista machine, but the arp attack are not intercepted, it only shows warning

    This OFFER Really Made my year as so far as I had already been using the FREE version of OA – - and TELLING everybody and their grandmother about how wonderful this Firewall really IZ!
    BUT Now to get this “PAID” version for F-R-E-E … WOW!

    well tried it for a day and had to uninstall it coz of a conflict with my online game. I have to shutdown OA just to play the game and it slows my pc down …no idea why.

    The “ARP Protection” checkbox at Firewall tab does protect against netCut.

    Well it may well be the best performance firewall but its not much good if the activation key never arrives. After 24 hrs waiting (bearing in mind the posted cutoff date) I applied again tonight, only to be told my email address was already registered. Ho Hum ! That’s one I can’t road test before offering to clients – just have to stick with reselling Comodo then!

    No key for me,even tried contacting support.they did reply but no answer given as yet.will wait for a reply in next 24 hours if not will have too get a different firewall.

    I just got a new laptop and want too try a different firewall for a change something thats not usually listyed everywhere like armour.

    went for new anti virus from sunbelt so want all new stuff on lappy that i have not tried before.

    hopefully will get a key soon,although the free version does look ok i would like too try the premium.since there are 1 or 2 things the free version dont have that i would like.

    thanks ray for the info, just came from vacation. and I think i’m very late for the promo.. i’m a comodo user for 3 years… i really wish i made it in time for the promo in OA because in the result of the best firewall, OA is the best..but because im so late…i noticed that that the paid version of OA is the best…the second is kaspersky and still a product you have to buy…the third is comodo which is free lifetime.. by the way OA free version is at number 6. by the way even i acquire a free key for OA i can’t use it because i have 64bit vista..anyway thanks for great topic…i think i’m the right guy in the wrong time with a wrong os for this topic…anyways…thanks again…I wish you all the good fortune and happiness in this world and to the next..

    After a contact with support i got my key within minutes of trying again.
    the support was very helpful indeed,daryl i think his name was responded very quick to my email and once he had fixed what ever it was he had too i retried and i would say within seconds in fact i got my key.

    i really like the rating tho but i have to test it my self.

    we all want a good protection. i dont say excellent or something. but the most dangerus thins should be blocked etc.. but, the most products i ever check they just dont let u use your torrent app (as u want ) or slows u down (torrent and web) with no reason.
    i hope online armor wont be like that.
