This project started off to help another forum member but somehow it ended up in Softpedia and now in this blog.
As you can see at the screenshot below, it’s a no brainer to use this tool. All you need to do is put a check on the checkbox that you want to enable and click the Enable button. The disable feature will be instantly enabled or if not, a reboot would do the trick. Please make sure that the computer is free from virus or else the changes made by this tool will not be effective and there is no end to enabling/disabling competition between you and the virus.

Re-enable is coded in .NET but doesn’t need .NET installed because .NET dependencies are included in the program making it fully portable. That is why a single file is in 36.7MB. However if you working on a computer that already have .NET framework installed, then you can just use the 64KB version instead.
This product was last tested in the Softpedia Labs on 1st of September 2009 by Cosmin Anton and they guarantee that Re-Enable Portable 1.0.0.0 is 100% Clean, which means it does not contain any form of malware, including but not limited to: spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors. Re-Enable is only in version 1 and I am sure that it can be improved with a couple more features without making it too bloated.

Another useful tool Raymond, thanks a lot…will help a lot after virus disinfection
Thank you for your article Raymond, and thank you to tangomouse for creating this small useful program.
nice job bro!
Well done tangomouse and to Raymond for sharing it with us.
thank you very much raymond one of the most useful tools here thank you.
Thx raymond
hope u will find some promotions for some of antiviruses coz u weren’t writing about them for I don’t know maybe 2 weeks
well done tangomouse and ray
this problem occured in almost all pc’s of mine…
cheers lads!!
well cant we do this job using a simple registry repair program
Very thanks Raymond.
That’s good news.
I stopped using RRT more than a year ago because it because big and pop-up website.
The download link “without .NET” from mediafire.com has aggressive pop-ups, the type that might give you maleware if you are not careful.
The first link from softpedia.com is actually for the portable version.
Great program – thanks for the tip.
The version without .net will probably get little use. Just as well, since Mediafire produces nothing but popups and no file.
ESET NOD32 blocks the download link at mediafire.com!
Do you know of any other download links for it without .NET?
Thanks anyway Raymond.
Too late Raymond!
I reformat my system and my buddy just yesterday…
But for the future…
THX!!!
This is a very good and useful tool. Good work.
Another option of which to also be mindful: Users of SuperAntiSpyware, however — even the freeware version — have an even longer list of post-virus-infection repair tools available to them by simply choosing the “View Control Center (Preferences/Options)…” choice from the menu that opens when they right-single-click on the little ladybug in the system tray, and then select the “Repairs” tab.
Hope that helps.

We cannot DL the “without Net” version. Since it’s so small, any chance of putting on your website? Would take seconds, not mintes. Thanks

I was wondering why it’s so big 36.7 mb for the portable version… I was thinking a batch file could do the same thing, all it’s probably doing is changing registry keys. I could be very wrong thought.
GR8 Raymond. Love it – another nice one to add would be to disable/enable the control panel in it’s entirety. I often have to argue with clients that went into the control panel and do things that don’t concern them.
wondering the same thing as OldSkool (#26)
Thank you Tangomouse and thank you Raymond for sharing this great tool. Awesome! and so simple. I wish I was that smart!
