You didn’t do a review on the free product. You did a review on the Paid Version of Avira. They are basically different from each other. The paid version of Avira has more features compared to the free version.

I’m a big fan of Avira AntiVir. I had the premium edition and ditched it after the promo licence ended.
Now I’m running the free edition and saw no difference in the protection point of view.
I actually recommend the free edition to whomever ask me about a great antivirus, and installed this edition on many computers and it detected/removed many viruses.

Nagging screen can be disabled easily when you follow some steps. Just google for that.

It monitors in the background, updates frequently and finds most threats. It may not be perfect, but only a weenee would suggest that antivirus software has no value.

Avira is a great AV software, not to mention it’s issues with updating. Some how this is the solution which worked for me and posted it in your forum…
