Thanks for the article! I was using Todo Backup but faced with the problem that it won’t restore to a different HDD and finally, switched to Paragon Backup & Recovery (http://www.paragon-software.com/home/db-express/)– so far it works just great! my choice came to Paragon because it has the widest range of backup & recovery options at the moment. It is the only one that can do differential backups; all others can only do full backups. And, also it is the only one that can create a bootable flash drive.

Ron, also have a look at the latest Paragon HD Manager as it does it as well. I personally haven't tried that function on Paragon's latest version yet, but a colleague who manages a large number of different types of workstations has and, as he put it, it does just what it says on the tin :) I must admit that when it comes to any kind of HD management tools Paragon's range have been my favorite for over a decade and they have never let me down.

Ron,
Try StorageCraft ShadowProtect. I think it is the best of all the imaging software. Macrium has a tutorial on their site to do this manually. Acronis has an add in for their software but I am not keen on them as their support is very bad. Symantec backup exec also has this function but it has failed when I have used it. I think Paragon has now added this function but I have not tried it.

Is it possible to clone your hard drive WITHOUT deleting all of the information that's already on the destination hard drive? Or is this just a feature that involves pay software like Norton Ghost? Thanks!
