Hey everyone, I thought that I should inform you all that I am back from my honeymoon because I’ve got some emails that are very concerned of what happened to me and also a few “weird” comments pretending to be written by me which of course is deleted. Actually I got back on Sunday night, 11th October and was way too tired that I slept till 12 in the noon. Had a lot of clothes to wash, bags to unpack and my work stuff accumulated for a month to deal with.

For the past month I traveled to Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany (Only for Oktoberfest) and Austria. I like Switzerland the best because everything there is so systematic and clean. The whole trip was nice as we saw a lot of things, went to a lot of places especially churches and ate the local food there. It was tiring though because there was a lot of walking and we were moving from one place to another dragging our big luggage.

We are very thankful that we did not get mugged or anything stolen. However there was once when I was helping my wife carrying her slingbag while we were in a shop selling clothes and noticed it opened when I felt someone pushed me. They were really fast and luckily nothing was stolen from the bag.

There was a case when we took the tram and forgot to validate our new tickets. When we about to get down the train in Duomo, Milan, an official asked for our tickets and found them not validated. He cannot speak English at all and all he can say is “Ticket no validate, FINE. 34 euros (pointing at me), 34 euros (pointing at my wife)”. I had no idea if he was a real official or not because I heard of fake police in Malaysia so I took a photo of him. He noticed that and shouted “NO PHOTO!”. If you ever take a tram or public bus in Milan, make sure your ticket gets VALIDATED or just RUN away from this guy if you see him!

I am still trying my very best to get back into your normal routines. Going to sleep before midnight is really tough for me nowadays and of course waking up early is impossible if I can’t sleep early. I should have some articles coming up tomorrow or day after tomorrow.

Ah, after a month of voting, finally the time has come for Chapeau to announce the 2009 industry winners and also most brilliant blog. Yesterday I read in a comment that this site has won the Chapeau 2009’s Best Technology Blog and I immediately went to Chapeau’s website to check it out which was true! Then I tried to view the flash video to see who won the 2009’s most brilliant blog but it was terribly slow maybe due to a lot of people were hitting hard on the site trying to find that out as well.

I couldn’t wait any longer, so I viewed the HTML source code, copied the direct link of the .FLV video file and used my RapidLeech server to download the video. It took less than a minute for my server to grab the flv video and then another minute to download to my computer. After viewing the video for 2 minutes, I was shocked but happy at the same time that they announced Raymond CC Tech Blog as the 2009’s MOST BRILLIANT BLOG! If the video loads slow on your side, I’ve uploaded the video to YouTube.

You have a super fast computer which you’ve paid thousands of dollars for it. You think that since you have a powerful computer, you can install hundreds of software and let it autostart in your Windows tray. Weirdly, your computer is still taking a long time to completely boot up to Windows. That is normal because every startup programs requires a few seconds to launch. If you have 10 autostart programs and each program takes an average 6 seconds to startup, that means your computer will take an extra minute to completely boot up Windows. If you’re unlucky and there is a program that is corrupted or has conflicts with other software, most likely your computer will hang for a while or you cannot get in Windows at all until it is removed from autostartup.

Here is is a powerful yet easy to understand software that is able to trace the the time the process is started and also duration taken to completely start a process. This way you can know straight away know which is the culprit that is causing the slow startup without guessing.
