If you're interested in setting up an MP3 server on your PC you can install the COWON Jet Audio which can be found on their site: cowonamerica.com/download/ a basic Jet Audio version and updates. The version I have now is Version 7.0.0.3001 Plus VX and it comes with a feature called Jet Cast, which is a stand alone MP3 server, you can name the server and set it to broadcast different formats and set the ports, it also includes built-in chat which can be disabled and you can set it to broadcast during certain hours. Once your server is up and running (on-air) it is listed on the Jet Audio website too. I used it even on dial-up with lowered bitrates and it worked alright especially if the client tried to open the Server URL through Winamp.
