I tried going to another website that hosted this file, and when I installed the two files in my C directory in XP, and entered the command plpgenbtldr, it went on and on without listing that the bin file was created. Was almost resigned to buying a spares unit from ebay to transplant the optical drive - until I found this.Followed the instructions, and it works a charm!
