I don’t really like re-installing Windows because it’s boring and takes a long time to get everything back to normal. Installing Windows takes about 30 minutes, then looking for correct drivers takes another 30 minutes, downloading and installing latest third party software should take an hour and finally restoring emails and settings takes another 30 minutes. This is if everything goes smoothly without problems. There were a few times I ended up discovering even more problems during Windows reinstallation and had to get them fixed too.
Last weekend I went to a friend’s house to fix his HP desktop computer and needed to reinstall Windows because it was badly corrupted. Fortunately branded computers such as HP has recovery disc where I can just pop in the disc and the installation is all automated. I don’t even need to worry about looking for the correct drivers because the recovery disc has all that.
When the whole Windows restoration process has completed, there’s something else that we should install before the third party software and that is .NET Framework, Java, DirectX, Flash player, Silverlight, Shockwave player, and Visual C++ Runtimes.
These addons are important so that the user can able to run .NET Framework application, run Java applets, view websites with flash or shockwave and also better gaming performance with the latest DirectX. However, downloading and installing every version of .NET Framework, hotfixes and all the addons above would take you a lot of time.
Here’s an all in one package called All in One Runtimes which contains all versions of .NET Framework with their hotfixes, latest DirectX 9.0c, Adobe Flash Player 10, Microsoft Silverlight 3.0, Shockwave Player 11.5.0.596, Java Runtime Environment 6 and Visual C++ Runtimes. The good thing about this AiO pack is it can automate the process of installing all the addons without you doing anything.

There are 2 versions of All in One Runtimes. The first one is for 32-bit Windows which can be installed on Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003. As for the 64-bit version, the pack can be installed on Windows Vista and 7. With this All in One Runtimes pack, I no longer need to waste my time on downloading and installing runtimes. Of course this pack is not always useful since we can use nlite/vlite to integrate them into the Windows installers but it would definitely save us a lot of time and trouble when we’re faced with a computer with a recovery disc.

Hiho,
i’m the developer of this Pack and i found this site though my log files ;)
Now i want to clear some things:
- This Pack ist not language limited! Everything is language neutral and just the .NET languagepacks translates the error messages of .NET into german! if you want them in english just dont install the languagepacks.
- for Windown Vista or Windows 7 32 bit (x86) you can use the normal 32 bit version which is for XP. But then DO NOT INSTALL ANY .NET. Thats important!
- you can use it without nlite, too just extract it with winrar or z-zip and start the .exe file in svcpack folder.
press on the timer to stop the timer!
Thank you very6 much raymond but does this install the routimes on english language or german?
Thank you.
No pack for Win 7 32 bit?
There is also another software called AutoPatcher, which not only installs the hotfixes n all, but also many things. Please take a look at that also.
it can be d’loaded from : autopatcher.com/
@ Harerton. If your OS is English speaking you probably should not install the language packs. If it’s Spanish or some other language you probably can’t use the program at all.
@ Raymond: please my former comments. They misinforms.
I added your blog to bookmarks. And i’ll read your articles more often!
I’m sorry Raymond. Please delete those comments of mine. It’s a mess.
PS: even the Germans will have a problem: they can’t get all .net Frameworks language packs installed after using this system.
Well no, Harerton. But there is a problem if your OS language is not in English. Because all the language packs and their updates must be installed by the numbers. 1.1 language pack after 1.1 itself. Then 1.1′s service pack. And so on.
This fine software can’t be used internationally. It’s for English speaking computers only. Unfortunately.
A little warning would be nice. When you run the aio-runtimes.exe it auto starts all the installations….. in German.
I can’t get it to show English. I changed the ini file, but no luck.
Anyone solve this?
Thanks
Once again
Raymond…
Thanks Raymond once more
Amazing hit Ray…thanks
Amazing…Ray…thanks for the hint.
Why even install Silverlight? This is something I try to remove :)
Will I start seeing system mesages in german after installing those runtimes???
Heh! I was just wondering a couple of days ago how I could do this :D
ok…thanks Raymond!
Thanks ray.. You just save for for a hard work…
thanks Raymond
Perfect timing! Yesterday I installed a program that overwrote my .Net Framework files – I’m not even sure which version – and THEN suggested I make sure I have the latest updates @#?&! I uninstalled the application but was left wondering what shape the .Net Framework files are in. Now I can just run this and fix them.
Hi,
Thanks, but I am assuming it is language independent, right?

@surfriot: 7z extension cannot be opened with WinZIP. You will need 7-Zip which can be downloaded here 7-zip.org/
wont download right, “7z” assuming this is a zip file, I tried opening with winzip and it wouldn’t work. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?
Another great tool – thanks Raymond.
As a point of interest – can you unzip it and update the contents online before rezipping it?
No Python ?
Nice and thanks

I didn’t even know that tool exists and going to use it in the future

Just wondering if this would work on Windows Vista/7 32 bit
