linkification is an awesome extension, ive been using it for quite sometime now, but for those who dont want to install an extension or anything similar, simply go to http://www.linkrr.com/ this site performs this task in a similar manner. you simply copy any text and paste into the linkrr box then follow the links. this is just an alternative to an extension since as raymond stated that some extensions tend to be memory hogs or dont work as intended on occasions
