I open .cmd file with notepad and forget to uncheck ‘Always use selected program’ and didn’t know how to restore it, and your tip works. Thank you!

Go here and download the exefix_xp.com utility and run it. It fixes it for you.

you need to run this command as a administrator,else you get a access denied error

you can create a command prompt and run this command

open notepad-type ‘cmd’ save as .bat or .com run it

i got a PC which had all executable associations(exe,reg,scr,pif,com,bat) broken!!!!!
i had to format the PC !!!!

why, oh why sir is my computer making me crazy? Or could it just be my sister who constantly spies on my computer. Maybe both!

I have windows 7 and need some advice on how to be certain my computer is not being hacked into by her. She just likes to make fun of me and then goes and uses my information to get the guys I’m supposed to have. If I go into DOS, is there a way to tell if I am sharing my computer information with her? We have cable modem, and use a wireless router. It is passkey protected and all, but I still get this feeling…
Are there any windows files that I can open to see?
