avast! has been gaining popularity every since version 5 and even more when Avira started to partner with ASK.com. According to download.com total downloads statistics, you can see that AVG grabs the first place, avast! at second and followed closely by Avira. Here is one of the freebies shared by LunarWolf where everyone can use avast! Internet Security 6.0 until 18 April 2012 for free! avast! has 3 home products and they are the free version, Pro and Internet Security. The Pro version has 3 extra protection module which is Sandbox, SafeZone and Command line scanner if compared to the Free version. As for the Internet Security, it comes with everything in Pro plus Anti-spam filter and a built-in firewall. The Pro version cost $39.99 per year and Internet Security at 49.99.

If you are using avast! Free Antivirus or avast! Pro Antivirus, here is your chance to upgrade to avast! Internet Security for FREE which gives maximum protection, powered by avast! SafeZone technology. If you already have a license for avast! Internet Security which expires earlier than 18th April 2012, you can extend it using this license.
Just follow the simple steps below to get your free avast! Internet Security 6.0 license file valid till 4/18/2012.
1. Go to http://www.my-avast.de/AVAST-Aktion-com-so-gehts
2. Fill up the form by entering your first name (Vorname), last name (Nachname), email address and click the Absenden button.
3. Check the inbox of the email address that you have entered in the form. You should receive an email from Globell Marketing (marketing@globell.com) with the subject Registrierung Avast Internet Security 6. In the email, there is a link to download the license file. Download the ZIP file and extract it.
http://www.my-avast.de/aktion/AVAST/down/license-com-so-gehts.zip
4. Download avast! Internet Security 6.0 and install.
5. During the setup, you will come to a License part where you have to select “Supply a license file”. browse for the License com! so geht?s.avastlic file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Note: If your computer already have the free or Pro version installed, all you need to do is double click on the license file where avast! will recognize and ask you “Are you sure you want to insert the license file with the following parameters?” Click the Yes button and avast! will then download the necessary file from the Update tab to automatically upgrade it to Internet Security 6.0.

It is definitely a win-win situation for both users and avast! because when the license expires on April 2012, satisfied users will definitely extend their license subscription with their own money. By the way, the 5 lucky winners of KeyScrambler Premium has been chosen and will be receiving an email from me shortly.

vary fine
Dear Ray,
Following what you suggested, that day (July, 18th) I’ve installed AVAST on two of my computers (win.XP SP.3 and Windows 7 Starter).
In the Win.7 installation everything was always fine.
In the Win.XP installation, Avast asks me now a password that – I think – I’ve never set (I’m always good in these things. I don’t usually behave superficially with my computers. Usually…)!
Avast asks me a password when I try to change the settings of the different modules.
Does you know this issue? I coudn’t find anything usefull by googling…
Thanx for everything.
Lello Siddi.
THE LINK DIDN’T WORK ( ZIP FILE) i COULD NOT FIND IT!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Avast? No thanx! Ppl, don’t get curious bout dat, don7t get that serious and go on without it! There R some other (many) Anti-Vir Softs (especially U don’t have to bother if Ur using Mac in EU!) that won’t give U an headache and will work properly. Of course, maaaaany Thanx 2 Ray!!! Ray, Ur da man and keep it up man! Greetz from EU!

Thanks a lot for sharing this .
It not working anymore
I got the key .Thanks a lot for sharing this .
tank you, Raymond!
@Miccelmic: No! Just run AIS only, if u want more bases covered then run it along with Malwarebytes Antimalware Pro and SUPERAntiSpyware Pro.
There is an email that is sent with the license key. The email states install of Avast from the dvd issue of the magazine. There is also a pdf included in the email which states about the avast pack of the notebook dvd. Maybe read it next time before replying so you appear to know what you are talking about?
Thank you, ActionJackson, for the explanation and you, Raymond, for the additional information, and Dodolz for suggesting MSE.
I didn’t know that it was for subscribers of a magazine. Why then was it published on the Internet? The subscriber should have logged on to his magazine account and entered her information there. This way nobody could have stolen the keys.
That was really stupid! One does not have to be a computer/systems analyst to figure that out! Somebody at the magazine screwed up! And they call themselves a computer magazine? I wouldn’t trust their advice!
But this exercise in futility was not a total waste of time. I thank you, reader Dodolz, for suggesting Microsoft Security Essentials. I uninstalled avast immediately and installed MSE. At least there is some protection in place. In the meantime I can find out how competent MSE is comparing it with the other products.
Thank you, it has been nice messaging with you.
doesn’t work anymore :(
Pls advise: is there (can it be?) a conflict between this Avast I.S. and (a long time favorite) Z.A.Suite (a 7.0… version)? Can i run both? Shared preferences…?! Big thanks .
Thanks ActionJackson for your comment and sorry to disappoint you.
Here’s a tip for you, try searching in Google with the keyword “my-avast.de/AVAST-Aktion-com-so-gehts”. That should add a lot more “high ethical standards site” to your list…
The reason you are being directed to a web page to buy the product is because the Avast! offer was not meant for the general public. It was meant for subscribers of a magazine. But since so many license keys were stolen by the general public the promo was stopped. Congratulations on all your high ethical standards.
I STRONGLY recommend MSE (Microsoft Seurity Essentials). Have been 6 months, never let me down. Get it, taste it. It’s free. . . .
That’s all folks, the zip file link as well as the promo link is over, dead, kaput!
Better luck next time :P
Hi Ray,
Same problem as mentioned by Manfred.zip file doesn’t open
It would be great if you can share your zip file with us
Thanks
I didn’t get a zip file in my email…? All links received take me to a page to buy a license :c
Is it normal that it takes over 30min to get email?
I filled that form about 30min ago and have not received email yet.
Hope its not too late :/
Nope, thanks. Avast gave me nightmare. It deleted important file system of my computer, not DISINFECT THEM. My computer was awfully damaged.
I STRONGLY recommend MSE (Microsoft Seurity Essentials). Have been 6 months, never let me down. Get it, taste it. It’s free. . . .
Thank you, Ray, for publishing this. There is a problem, though:
(1) Thunderbird received the email; I left-clicked on the “zip” link in the email. It produces a web page; however, I did not see a button to download the zip file on said page.
(2) Therefore I right-clicked on the “zip” link, “save link as” and it downloaded into a folder as “license-com-so-gehts.zip” file of 20.7 KB. However, 7-zip.com “cannot open it as archive.” Neither can winrar.
Strange! Do you have an idea? Thanks
PS: I was able to download out of the email the pdf file with “save link as” and the instructions, written in German, are as you described.
@ActionJackson:
OK, I didn’t know – and I can’t check it out because I never went for this offer. I don’t think the ‘rule’ you mention ever has been used here though? afaik there has been quite a few offers aimed at exclusive readers, members etc w/o anyone mentioning it was not allowed (nor complaining). I’m not sure though.
regards,
W
thanks alot
thanx buddy.. its gr8 1
Crash my windows home premium 7 64 bit
Thank you Ray
thanks
thanks.
@Winged the email speaks about a magazine, just put the email in google translate and you will see.
Thank you Raymond. This was very much appreciated!
Thank you very much.
Great !!
@ActionJackson: What makes you draw the conclusion this is a magazine offer? I’m not saying it isn’t, but for sure I can’t find any info that supports your claim? The magzine logos on that page is just showing Avast was a top pick among tested AV.
regards,
W
Thank you Raymond – I have emailed the link to this page to a number of contacts who may wish to make use of this.
Thank You Very Much, DEar Raymond…
wow, brilliant, i don’t know what to say..Thanks man!

Thanks Ray. I always want to try Avast because it let me change skins. :)
Thanks Raymond! Set-up was fast and easy.
Thank for this
Wow! thanks so much for this advice! I´m using Avast! free right now but i will upgrade to AIS thanks to your post. So again, really, really thank you!
Cheers
thanks a lot. :)
Nice! TY
This promo is for magazine subscribers, not the general public. I thought it was against policy to condone this sort of license grabbing. Call it a win-win if you want. But it is really just stealing.
thanks bhai
pick me please, thank you Raymond.
thankyou for the avast, I am using avira free and zone alarm free, together they are 140 MB. Avast is 305 MB quite a big jump. can anyone justify switching to avast, it seems it would slow down the computer. dont know what to do. buy thankyou too, for this download
First of all, thank you for this offer!
I have 3 questions please.
I’m running XP.
I prefer to keep my excellent personal firewall.
“Avast!IS” also contains a firewall but it does not have an excellent reputation IMO..
So I stopped, turned off the Avast!IS firewall..
What a pity! In the taskbar Avast!IS place before the “ball” a WARNING triangle :(
1) As sure as this module does not work in the background?
2)And above,Do you have a technical trick to disable this warning logo?
3)It’s always the same problem with security suites.
How do you manage to keep a independent firewall, please?
Here a more general question that I want you to detail a day please…
Many Thanks Ray!
What a share…Thanks Raymond.
As always, good work on your side!!!
Thanks Raymond ..
g8 review as always, but I don’t think that my luck is great 2day, but it doesn’t hurt participating, does it ?
Thanks a lot raymond
So cool, Thank Ray !!
Thank’s so much Ray! Im your fan here in the philippines!
Thanks you Ray, I just upgraded my grandfather avast free to avast IS.
thanks , I will be installing this antivirus on my desktop
thanks a lot Mr.Raymond…You are awsome!!
Thanks Ray!
thanks alot 4 this brilliant share.i always wished to have real license key.
Thanks alot.
Keep sharing offer about other antiviruses too.
Actually, avast have promotion that offers up to 57% discount on their internet security. If you use the wilders code, you get 55%. Cheaper than what other AV offer.
woah! thanks Raymond. Actually, I don’t have Avast in my PC, i switched from Avast 5 to MSE. I will use the key for my future needs. Thanks anyway!
Thanks…..!!!
hello Raymond, should I go for this AVAST 6.0 against Kaspersky 2011…? is there any thing i will be missing while using avast instead of kaspersky 2011?
Hey raymond it is working…….thanks…..:)
thanks raymond ,. been needing a good free internet security suite lately .. ^^
Using Avira Pro free for now. But my subscription’s about to end in 2 months. Will download this and use it after that. One year of free antivirus? That’s amazing. Thanks for the great article. Do keep posting!
THANKS.
Thx bro, i got it..
