If you didn’t notice, nearly all bloggers that generates revenue from their website through advertisements never talk about AdBlockers. Reason is if they introduced a good advertisement blocker and you ended up using it, they’ll loose YOU (or perhaps a few hundreds or thousands depending on how much readers the site has) to view the displayed advertisements or clicking it because it is relevant to the visitor. Even Martin from Ghacks also mentioned “Turning off the adblocker helps me generate revenue. Each visit pays so to speak. Even if you do not click on the ads it helps me pay my bills.” I fully agree with Martin but the painful truth is people installing quality ad blockers have a 99.99% probability of never clicking on an ad to begin with.

There are anti-adblock scripts that is able to get pass adblockers but I wouldn’t want to embed that into my ads because it is like forcing you to view the ads when you don’t want to. Maybe you have a broadband subscription with limited bandwidth and don’t want to waste your bandwidth in loading advertisements. Anyway, today I am going to do something that bloggers never do, that is to introduce you a very good quality ad blocker software that has been in development for 9 years. Other than that, I am also going to show you how to register the software that normally cost $23.76 for FREE!

Ad Muncher is a system-wide ad blocker, dealing with annoyances like banner ads and popups along with new rich media ads like video ads, interstitials and floating ads. Many types of spyware and adware installers are also blocked, as well as third-party tracking systems. It works out of the box, without the need to choose what you want blocked or configure third-party filter lists, and works with all browsers and many advert-displaying programs such as ICQ, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Yahoo Music Jukebox, SopCast, iMesh, BearShare, Pando, PalTalk, etc.

    • Follow the steps below on how to register Ad Muncher for free.

    1. Download and install Ad Muncher.

    2. Run Ad Muncher, enter the name and code shown below and click the Register button.
    Name: Request to remove by AdMuncher
    Code: Request to remove by AdMuncher
    This license is for Komputer Swiat readers living in Poland. If you’re not living in Poland, you should get the error message “The Komputer SWIAT license can only be used from within Poland, and you are connecting from appears to be in COUNTRY. If you are currently in Poland, please contact us for further assistance.”

    3. Click Proxy Options button, check “Use proxy when contacting the Ad Muncher servers”. Make sure the Type is selected as HTTP, enter the address as 213.25.107.4 and port 80. Click OK and click Retry. The proxy address belongs to Poland so when you try to update or validate the license code with it, Ad Muncher will think that you’re in Poland.

    4. Wait for a few seconds and you should see a dialog box that says “Your license was successfully verified. Thank you for supporting Ad Muncher development. Click Close to continue.

    Whenever you need to update the program or advert list from Options > Updates, you have to make sure that you’re using a working Poland proxy or else it will tell you that the license can only be used in Poland. I am sure one day either the Poland proxy that I provided will stop working or Ad Muncher server starts blocking it. When that happens, you can search in Google for another working Poland proxy.

    Ad Muncher installer is only 418 KB in size. The minimum system requirement to run Ad Muncher is Pentium 60, 32 MB ram, 2 MB disk space. Supports from version of Windows (95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista).

      I use a host script mvps,but the only annoying thing is it blocks everything so sometimes sites dont load.

      Adblock plus is a simpler and cheaper option (it’s free) and easy to disable when you want it to (either manually or thru a whitelist). And it doesn’t just block, it prevents it from being loaded in the first place.

      Komputer Swiat magazine is not free – it costs about 12 zlotys ($7.2).

      First, Raymond and ozziemozzie, I know how to read and follow directions and did so accordingly. Blowing me off like I\’m some newbie isn\’t very appreciated. There is an issue with this and it needs to be addressed. If you can not address it say so but, don\’t be condescending to me and others that have a issue.

      Great I am sure it works really well but is it better than Adblock Plus and if so why and how?

      For the best browsing experience in every way I thought we were all supposed to use Firefox with Adblock plus and noscript in sandboxie. Or that’s what I gathered here from you Raymond.

      Possibly due to running Kaspersky Internet security and/or Ashampoo and Antispyware. But does not inspire confidence.

      This one gets the CC cleaner treatment. Who wants another app. running in their system tray?

      Managed to get the Muncher operational on my PC no problems. Great program — easy to use and very effective.

      Unfortunately I left it a few days and now it won’t install on my laptop. Looks like the vendor has got smart.

      Does anyone have an IP address for a unblocked Polish Proxy?

      If not, looks like it’s back to FF + Adblock Plus which isn’t nearly as sophisticated.

      I noticed no one on the Green Demon can get this working properly either. If you can get it to install it does not update – so useless for future ads. I might be wrong but it seems to work exactly as ad block plus does with a user submitted database. Lots of people say \\\’Oh it\\\’s so sophisticated\\\’ but don\\\’t say why. I see it has a nice but complex looking GUI – but so what? Others comment it takes blocking to extremes and one guy said it trashed chrome (although that\\\’s probably not a bad thing).

      If Raymond had not recommended it I would not have given it a second look.

      This certainly is no longer working. I tried many different proxy servers but no go. I guess they probably must have allotted a certain number of licenses and then turned it off or something similar.

      I’ve been a legit licence owner for years and I’m glad I paid for it.

      Seems to me that is has stopped updating with the COmputer Swiat reg code. It’s now 9 Sep and my last definition update was 3 Sep. Whenever I click update I get NONE for available updates. Anyone else also using this Computer SWIAT reg code and having same same problem?

      It seems to me that this has stopped updating (V 4.81 Build 31376) with the Komputer Swiat licence. (23/09/2010) Last update was 3197. It is now displaying a message: “The Komputer SWIAT license can only be used from within Poland, and the address you are connecting from cannot have its location confirmed. If you are currently in Poland, please contact us for further assistance.”

      They are starting to add known proxies to their banned list so to update you have to find fresh proxies each time.

      just google polish proxies and you will find several sites that give you free proxies, and remember to choose the anonymous ones!

      Hi Pete I found a working one fairly quickly; it worked fine for a few days, but alas no more. So, it’s back to the drawing board I’m afraid.

      u don’t need to do the filters update. what ever default filters version should work just fine. the key is if u can register their license

      I don’t think that you can register the license “on-line” any more; you’d have to “install” the registration file separately and “off-line”. I agree, that updating the filters isn’t really necessary.

      How does one go about doing that? I don’t think just copying and pasting a known good registered version with Komputer SWIAT “Registration” and “License” file into a newly installed Ad Muncher’s C:/Program Files/Ad Muncher will make it registered.

I’m more or less certain that you won’t be able to register a fresh installation on-line on-line, unless you are very lucky. And even if you do “register and license” it, it appears almost impossible to update it. Likewise, updating to the latest build. If you can live without being able to update the lists/program Ad Muncher is still a very useful piece of software.

      If you have already “licensed and registered” Ad Muncher you would be best advised to save all related files in case you need to freshly install Ad Muncher in the event of a hard drive failure.

      Ad Muncher v 4.81 appears to have “timed-out” as of today (23/12/2010). The “configuration” no longer appears to work.

      ive had this for ever been using the komputer swiat code but as of today the icon turned red i tried to find poland proxies and they say that the data was corrupted when i try to register. ive tried hundreds of proxies it would just BE ALOT SIMPLER IF YOU COULD JUST RESET THE 30 DAY TRIAL EVERY TIME or if somebody had a new name and code. for the most part the komputer name and code dont work anymore

        The license expired on 1st january 2012 … and yes it was working up to the latest 4.93 beta with premium updates

          How the license could be expired if there were no any license key? I’m asking just out of curiosity as AdFender is out there, and also IE9 Tracking Protection List is working pretty well.
