Did you know that Google stores a unique identifier in a cookie on your PC, which allows them to track the keywords you search for? They use this information to compile reports, track user habits, and test features. In the future, it is possible but not for sure that they could sell this information or share it with others. If one Google cookie wasn’t enough, some computers have several installed.

I am surprised to know that Google has tracked my searches for 185 days!

G-Zapper is a utility to help you stay anonymous while searching Google. G-Zapper will read the Google cookie(s) installed on your PC, display the date it was installed, and determine how long your searches have been tracked. G-Zapper allows you to delete or entirely block the Google search cookie from future installation. It’s easy to use and if you’re a person who hates being tracked for surfing habits, then G-Zapper can be useful to you.

G-Zapper is available in two versions. The Free Edition and Professional Edition.

G-Zapper Free Edition is free for unlimited personal use. Users may install the software on all personal computers they own. Search cookies are blocked from Google in Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

G-Zapper Professional Edition is available as an upgrade for the price of $19.95. The Professional version is able to block search cookies from other popular search engines including Yahoo, MSN, Ask, and more, selectively block cookies from any site you wish and receiving a lifetime of free updates and support.

If you don’t let Google know what your interest is then how could Google provide u a better service? Just think about it! It work the same for Google Earth as well.
You may or may not have notice, your frequent search & clicked website will actually move up to the top of the result list when u search the same key words again. Thanks to the cookies.
This may not true for other cookies though!
