I’ve always been someone who enjoys trying out new toys, new gadgets, new software, and testing it out to the max of it’s potential. I’ve also been one who enjoys finding useless trivial things to purchase with the money I make from my work place. Due to both of these ‘problems’, I’ve sometimes gotten infected in my eagerness to try something new. So for me, I’m in the need protection against a lot of different malware. For example, when I was younger and more foolish, I used to download a lot of warez, and used to get infected all the time. These days, I’m much wiser and don’t download any pirated software, resorting to using freewares, freebies, open source programs, or trials to get the job done. However, a good number of my friends don’t see this light and get themselves constantly infected, so it’s my job to clean up after them.

Recently, one of my friends was hit with a very bad virus that I’m sure we’ve all heard of at one point in our lives or another: Win32/Vundo. And being someone who lacks common sense in everything that he does, he went and downloaded even more viruses trying to fix it, one of them being the A variant of Win32/Conflicker. So imagine my shock and horror to discover all this swarming around on his PC and I was expected to fix this without a wipe and reload. On one of our forum member’s insistence, Leofelix, I was assured that there would be no problem in wiping out all this malware. And you know what?

He was right.

Hitman Pro is a powerful, cloud-based anti virus that has managed to prove it’s worth several times over since I’ve started carrying it around on my USB Recovery Stick. It has managed to get all of what I’d expect ESET (my present antivirus) to get, plus things that it misses. It doesn’t take very long to scan, taking a grand total of about ten minutes at the very most (what I had to sit though to clean that horrid PC) and manages to get everything I’ve tested on clean. It also will not conflict with your present antivirus because it is a completely on demand antivirus, and will do scans for free. To actually remove the malware requires the activation of the trial, but it isn’t so bad because of the fact that it is a 30 day trial. Below is a screenshot from their site showing how it detects viruses.

Yes, those are the logos of the antiviruses it uses: NOD32 Antivirus, Avira AntiVir, Prevx, G DATA Anti-Virus and formally, a-squared Anti-Malware, now known as Emsisoft Anti-Malware.

Special thanks to Leofelix, the one who recommended this amazing software to me, I’ve also received two Hitman Pro one year keys, so if you’re someone who constantly gets infected or know someone that does, this will come in handy for cleaning up those nasties. I also have received word back from Serge Grabo, the creator of Windows 7 Firewall Control, that he is providing me with 5 keys for the Plus version of Windows 7 Firewall Control, making a grand total of seven keys (see below) that I can give away!       Windows 7 Firewall Control is also very good mainly because it is much like windos firewall with non-silent outbound protection.

      Recently I participated in a beta testing of a security soft which slowed my pc and after using thier uninstaller i lost internet connection and got infected, Result was format and reinstal windows. Bad ending, I say!. Hitman Pro would have been a good candidat to search and destroy those infections. So Hitman Pro will be good or the firewall can overcome infiltration. Thanks

      I want to participate in Hitman Pro giveaway as well as Windows 7 Firewall Control Plus.
      Hitman Pro will help solve the problem of infections, I mostly get surfing internet (and downloading torrents and software). Currently I have to restore my system every week and start from fresh due to infections problem. I have tried AVG, Avast, Avira, Norton, etc. but all are useless due to multiple sources of infections.
      Windows 7 Firewall Control Plus will let me control my system traffic, especially outbound connection. I do not like software home pings.

      Great giveaway from you all the time. I’m an IT student and a lot of friends also get the same problem and they keep coming to me for help, sometimes there will be nothing for me to do than go a head and format the HDD and reinstall because the infection was severe. Therefore, I would be very glad if I can win a key for Hitman pro to really assist me from such situations.

      I would be glad to have a licence of Hitman Pro. I use RemoveIT Pro v4 – SE (free) to scan for worms and others things that standard AV programs do not find. But this is portable, does not conflict with installed AV, very short scan time (cf. Ad-Aware Plus, Emisoft Anti-Malware, Bit-defender 2010 – all licensed, all of which I use). I am praying.

      Just imagine if this post was posted yesterday. I was reading the blog looking exactly for this kind of thing. My cousin’s machine without an antivirus was infected, and I installed AVG on their demand and Comodo. And there we had a host of viruses. And I had to leave, so left it to them to clean up.
      If I had got this yesterday it would have helped a lot.
      Hope you can spare a key for Hitman Pro.

      Wow……….188 requests,of which 95%who want Hitman Pro….
      It is a cloud based AV…..I have Panda(also cloud based)and it is a powerful tool I refuse to give up-Extremely satisfied with it so not interested in any category2 Av…..(yeah so it uses 5 engines….so what??)
      Recently upgraded to Windows 7 so the firewall would definitely be my 1st choice.
      P.S.-It is amazing how GREED dominates the world…I refuse to believe that 180 people who posted here are without an AV……whatever…..man the world sucks….

      I would prefer the frewall Pro program. I have tried 4 different firewalls and none seem to get the job done. I currently use PC tools firewall, but it ranks low on the matousec website.
      I tried oupost firewall, but for some reason, it made my online gaming lag like crazy. Tried comodo, but that is way too dificult for me to configure.
      Tried Private firewall, but I could not find how to block certain programs from fgaining access to the internet.
      I woud rather use WOndows firewall and I feel that with Firewall Pro, it will let me.

      That sounds awesome. Hitman Pro is something that I am sure we all could use. Lately I have seen an increase in the amount of people having their machines infected with viruses. I’m still unsure why though as my machines have always been clean. Would love to have the license for Hitman Pro. Thanks for pointing out this software.       As I “sometimes” (:-)) have to help freinds, a good AV tool is helpfull (clam av is portable but not exactly tops) so a licence key for Hitman PRO would be great
