I could get the chance to test IMMUNET Protect Plus 2.0 against some live malware samples and the results have been impressive.
Here is my opinion, please also consider that my test is an amateur one anyhow.

IMMUNET Protect Plus at a glance

Easy and fast installation, no reboot required.
It comes with ask toolbar included, leaving it unchecked has been a nice move from IMMUNET Corp, hence during setup be smart and do not check Ask toolbar since it is not necessary to the program in order to work properly.
User friendly and easy to customize: you do not need to be a security expert to use it,
On idle Immunet Plus took 22 Mb Ram; during the full scanning took up to 70/80 Mb Ram.
I have noticed an increment of CPU usage during scanning (7%)
For sure Immunet plus didn’t slow down my VM running XP SP 3 (Intel dual core 1.8 Ghz – 1 GB RAM allocated)
Real time protection reaction and sensitivity is very high and fast.
IMMUNET Protect Plus is a cloud antivirus based which uses 3 AV engines. The third one is called TETRA and is signature based (off line scanning).

IMMUNET GUI

IMMUNET PROTECT is available in two flavors: a free version and a Plus (paid) version.

IMMUNET Plus comes with of an antirootkit module, the ability to scan inside archives (ZIP, RAR, CAB ecc ecc) and USB/Removable devices plus a more complete behavior blocker in comparison with the free version which also lacks of TETRA antivirus engine.
It is possible to perform a flash scan (of the most important system area), a full scan and a custom scan.
A pure Cloud antivirus doen’t need to be updated, that’s why it requires an active internet connection to work properly.
Nevertheless, IMMUNET PLUS comes, as already said, with an off line engine (TETRA) which is signature based, hence never forget to keep it up to date.

MY PERSONAL TEST

10 known malware samples I have tried to download have been quarantined immediately
8/10 new-0 days malware samples have been blocked as well
IMMUNET Protect Plus real time protection is very reactive

here is how the quarantine appears

quarantine

below you can see some of the malware samples detected (trojans, backdoor, keyloggers, rootkit, rogue)

sample1
malware2
malware 3
malware 4
malware 5

Only two new malware/0 days samples could not be detected, here are the Virustotal Reports

Conclusion:

According to the developer Immunet protect is compatible with the following security software
# AVG
# Avast!
# Avira
# Norton Anti-Virus, Internet Security, 360
# McAfee
# Microsoft Security Essentials
# Trend Antivirus
# K7
and it works with Windows XP/Vista/7 32 bit – 64 bit
