Hi everyone, maybe you will notice that the hack i posted on December 2007, doesnt work anymore, thats because uTorrent have found out about it, and as soon as utorrent connects to the internet now, the .exe becomes updated, and the hack doesnt work anymore

hi there mr fahad khan, i just want to know in what encoding do i use to save the modified file?
because when i follow the steps you gave, then suddenly i was prompted what encoding to use. I chose ANSI encoding, the file doesn’t work after change.
furthermore, my text file after open, there were many boxes everywhere in the file, cannot recognize what is the character. So, i would like to know also what font type do i use? because i have tried to change the font type but it is fruitless.
Hope you can help me to sort this out.

You can speed up uTorrent, but only one way, because it does not support accelerators
Go to:
1.C:\Program Files\uTorrent (or wherever you installed it)
2.Right click uTorrent.exe, and rename to .txt to open with notepad
3.Open it, and be patient, it can take up to 5 minutes to open
4.Scroll down to the bottom line
5.Including the bottom line, count up 4 lines, you will see
You need to wipe this line out, wipe it out, when finished, replace it with this:

6.Save it, rename uTorrent.txt back to .exe, then when you open it again, it might ask you to install it again, and now you should see that you cant upload anything, and that uTorrent’s speed should have increased by about 30kb/s – 50kb/s if you are on broadband

These are the max speeeds you can achieve with this hack:

1meg broadband – 138kb/s
2meg broadband – 268kb/s
4meg broadband – 528kb/s
8meg broadband – 1028kb/s
24meg broadband – 4098kb/s
