When you install it you DO NOT HAVE to accept the genuine advantage.

Therefore it will never install if you decline.

I had a computer and had genuine advantage problem.I copied sex files to desktop and thsy were not there. I went to copy again and windows said they were there. I deleted the wga file in safe mode in the registry localmachine/software/ microsoft/windowsnt/wga file deleted waga folder restarted and ny folders were on desktop. Formated machine installed another xp pro and left automatic update off and I still got a advantage notice do you think they stored notice in boot track or in memory

it helped with the genuine window issue but my icons are gone !!! i mean they wer gone after i installed updates . how can i get them back ??
