Just after days Microsoft released Windows Genuine Advantage Validation version 1.7.18.1, now it has an updated version 1.7.18.5 or 1.7.0018.5. Looks a like a bug fixed version of WGA. All 3 files LegitCheckControl.dll, WgaTray.exe and WgaLogon.dll has been updated to version 1.7.18.5. Even Wikipedia doesn’t display the latest version of WGA.
Team ETH0 downloaded the latest WGA and cracked it. They released the cracked version of WGA 1.7.18.5 on 26 March 2007 which is 5 days later after they released cracked WGA 1.7.18.1.
This WGA 1.7.18.5 crack does NOT work with Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Media Player 11. Both uses their own wga check that is in their install program. It only lets you use Windows Updates and download from Microsoft Download Center. And also, no more nag screens.
Same thing. Just extract the compressed file and run installer.bat. Everything is automated.

Anyone know of workaround for the new WGA patch (June 22nd 2007) al the old hacks dont work anymore as WGA insists on downloading the new LegitCheckControl.dll even when I replace it with the hacked version. every time I run xp update it goes through the whole WGA process again, and asks me to validate windows.

Ive tried it direcet from the installer, and ive also tried moving all the folders into the %systemroot%\system32\ and running the installer from there.
But everytime i reboot i still fail the genuine thing and cant dowload updates. But im assuimg thats because the crack isnt even executing right by the look of all those “Error” messages above.

Regarding IE7 and WMP11, I slipstreamed them in my XP SP2 CD as well as the WGA 1.7.18.5 so everything runs fine here… Currently seeking for OGA original installer if anyone can get a hand on it… ;)

After installing WMP11 and rebooting I had to validate which failed because my XP number is blocked. Which of the methods you described previously is most likely to get around validation?

how hard can this get? first check ur version of WGA go to c:\windows\system32 den scroll down to find file “LegitCheckControl.dll” rite click into properties den click version it should tell u wat etc. my 1 is currently 1.7.18.5 okok ppl r askin bout some files not found wateva when usin the installer. ok try this copy every file in the crack eg legitcheckcontrol.dll, wgatray etc includin the installer itself n paste it in ur c:\windows\system32 folder then finally run the installer within the folder. should b 2 clicks n ur done
Usually after downloading the patch from your link the file opens in winrar, and the icon for the installer.bat file depicts that of a .exe file, that is, a black window of command prompt. But ever since I deleted the .bat file from my registry, by mistake, the icon ofr installer.bat file depicts the logo of microsoft windows. When I double-click on the installer.bat icon to run it does’nt run. Instead a window, like that of notepad, opens showing text of what appears on the black window when it earlier used to run automatically. Can re-installing the OS solve the problem ? Please help

Hey #004, lighten up and get a life. This is a great service, especially to those of us who own LEGIT copies of WinXP (or multiple legit copies like I do) but simply DESPISE Microsoft’s use of WGA. WGA is a huge nuissance and the sooner crackers can put it out of our misery the better.
You can find x32 Vista Activators pretty easily. x64 activators are still having problems, though. Some have to modify your master boot record which I don’t like.
