Mapped the ESC key to close current active program. Beats trying to go to upper right corner all the time. Fast & easy. Prg allows for text input so can input a long string like a password.

HotkeyboardPro is my fav. Mapped the ESC key to close current active program. Well, I don't really understand Microsoft. Why does their evolution also mean a mandatory devolution too? Win 3.11 had a macro editor, a clipbook and some other programs and functions that were lost in time... I guess the XP was an accident, they probably fired the team that made it almost fully functional. Since then, every new version is fancyer, but somehow dumber.

Once upon a time… Well, I don’t really understand Microsoft. HotkeyP 4.4 - this is the best hotkey manager and if someone knows better please tell me. Insane how it is low on memory resources. Masterpiece !!!
Alarm 3.5 - great toy.
Clipboard-Helper - copy,copy ... one paste
Check them all. If you like these I will post some other great freware (here or where?). Unless you are one of the few people that make use of every key on your keyboard and are completely happy with your keyboard layout, there is probably something you would like to change on your keyboard. Maybe you have an IBM Thinkpad and you really miss having a Windows Logo key. Maybe you are used to using a different keyboard and you keep hitting the wrong key. Another example is the F3 key which will bing up Windows Search and I seldom use it. Since I don't use it, why not I hack the key to do something more useful? Problem with using Macro program to map a key on a keyboard to something else is it has to be running to monitor the keystroke. If it's closed, the mapping won't work.
