Malaysia Airlines Travel Fair is back!
If you’ve visited Malaysia Airlines website yesterday, you’ll notice that there is a countdown timer that ends at exactly 12AM on 16 February. They claim that Malaysia Airlines will reveal all the cheap fairs and promotions at 12.01AM. I was in Malaysia Airlines website yesterday and after 12AM, no changes! Except I can start to feel the slowness of the website.
At 12.30AM, still no updates and I decided not to wait.
Today morning I checked Malaysia Airlines website, all the flight promotions and packages are up but the website is still very slow.

Anyway, booking starts tomorrow (17 Feb 06). And this time there will be no packed venues, jams or queues. Just fabulous airfares which you can book online, via our call centres or at participating travel agents.
Not sure if I am going to book online because I’m afraid that the website will timeout after I’ve clicked the pay button.
Then i’ll have to go through the hassle of calling Malaysia Airlines to check if my payment went through.

Terms and Conditions
Sale period: From 17 February to 26 February 2006.
Tax and Surcharges: Adult nett fare only. Tax and surcharges not included

For Australia:
Fares quoted are for return economy class travel ex Sydney /Melbourne /Adelaide /Perth/Brisbane per person and include fees and taxes, correct as at 16th February 2006.
Prices may fluctuate due to changes in currency exchange, surcharges, fees and taxes.
Seasonal surcharges will apply. Limited seats available and may not be available on every day/flight throughout the travel period.

For USA:
Adult nett fare only. Fare does not include approximately USD320 per ticket in tax and fees, such as the September 11th Security Fee, depending on the itinerary
Fares: The one-way L and Q class promotional fares are applicable for travel in either direction and are combinable to construct round trip fares.
Travel period: Travel must be within 01 March 2006 to 30 June 2006 period, all travel must be completed by 30 June 2006.
Permitted to combine with other classes for return journey after 30 June 2006.
Reservations: Booking class is restricted to “L” and “Q” in accordance to the applicable promotional fare.
Waitlist segment on either outbound or inbound segment is NOT permitted.
Open dated travel is NOT permitted.
Fares offered are valid on MH operated flights only (not valid on MH9000 series).
Child fares: Child – Approximately 75% of adult promotional fares.
Changes after ticketing during MATF06 sales period: 50% penalty to a maximum of MYR150 or equivalent or SGD 70, BND 70, THB 1,670, USD 40 per sector per passenger for any changes plus fare differential where applicable.
Reissuance fee of MYR50 or equivalent or SGD 25, BND 25, THB 555, USD 15 will apply.
Changes after MATF06 sales period: 50% penalty to a maximum of MYR150 or equivalent or SGD 70, BND 70, THB 1,670, USD 40 per sector per passenger for any changes plus fare differential where applicable.
Tickets to be reassessed based on applicable market fares and additional payment to be collected.
In addition, reissuance fee of MYR50 will apply.
Refund: All partially and totally unutilised tickets are not refundable.
