New Macintosh Product Rolling Out Late Fall

I know I often don’t report on Apple products because personally, I’m not a fan seeing as I don’t have the money required to buy them. I’ve got quite a few friends that would love to see Apple dominate as an amazing competitor to Microsoft, seeing as Microsoft’s been rather poor describing their strengths recently. But today as I was flipping though channels, I saw a news report preview about a new Apple product that was due out this fall. As interested as I am with computers, I figured it might be worth my time to push forward and watch it. And for all you lucky people out there that have enough money for it, consider yourselves very lucky!

Thankfully for all of us, someone uploaded it to YouTube so I figured I’d share the link with anyone interested. Warning, near the end is a bit of obscene language as the newscaster slips, and I’m very sorry about that. I did notice that after Andrea Bennett slipped, they cut out the rest of it where she was chewing out Apple for costing so much money and not being well constructed.

After you’re finished watching this clip, I don’t know how I felt so complete without knowing something like this is going to be coming soon. They said it’s due out shortly after Duke Nukem Forever will come out, so it’s got to be sometime in our lifetimes… right?

Right?

LMAO, if I remember correctly, I saw this since before the MacBook Air came out (that was in 2008, by the way).

@wave, I don’t know how you could have seen it before then, it’s a new clip from the news source ;)

Don’t you think posting this in the forum is more appropriate than posting on the blog? It’s not even 1st of April.
Linux stuff you’ve been posting recently is great! I want see more of that.

    • Uncle Sam

What a waste of time… just to type something you have to keep moving your finger over the wheel…

    • Paul\HellNoire

@gazett0z, I’m waiting on someone to get back to me on an email, so please, be a sport. I figured it would be worth a laugh to some people, you never know.

      @Uncle Sam, oh I know. I know.

What ever the matter, it is useless to purchase Mac.. they cost too much and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard security is not more than 7, according to PWn2OWN hackers competition.

izzit a parody or its just me don’t understand the jokes they made or izzit really true???!!

    • Paul\HellNoire

Well since you really want to know, it is a parody, a joke. It’s not true. I figured I’d share this because, well, let’s face it, we all need to laugh once in a while. If we’re serious over everything, even a blog can get boring.

That’s why I posted this on the blog and not on the forum. Because on the forum, most people are well laid back. Here, it’s business as always. So I figured this would be fair for all to laugh at the humour of it.

If it goes over well, I’ll post something random and humourous about once every two months or so, just for something for all of us to chuckle or talk about. Especially when I’m trying to get contact back from someone about tomorrow’s post. That was the main reason I posted this today.

    • Mark

Haha thats awesome! I looks like they put on the wheel of an iPod Nano 2nd Gen onto a MacBook Pro

But this is going to be a failure. 45minutes to type an email! Yea right..

    • G-man

KyEap…..I guess you failed out of school if you took this seriously?

    • http://www.raymond.cc/ Raymond

I took it seriously at first when I viewed the video the first time. That explains why I nearly failed in school XD

    • KyEap

Sorry for my “invented”.I mean it is a big joke when this is really invent.Between, who the guy got this idea?creative

    • Bob

Wait a minute. THis doesn’t make sense. THey get rid of the keyboard so you use a giant wheel to input letters on a virtual keyboard!!!
It takes me less than 1 second to type the letter a. WIth this mac book wheel, I have to circle around for the virtual keyboard, choose the letter category a, find a, wheel to it, then press a button to select it. That’s about what? 15 seconds to type one letter!! Imagine typing a report! Yeh, these apple loyyalists are really crazy.

I am still confused about the “screen hard driver wheel” part haha.

Good joke, although I could see some use of it for those who don’ have great dexterity, but not for a replacement of a keyboard.

For those that didn’t get the major points of the joke, here are a few lines:
“Everything is available at just a few hundred clicks away.”
“Alex Zalban was one of the lucky few to try out the MacBook Wheel and spent 45 minutes writing an email to his friend.”
“But, the super thing laptop features numerous innovations, like the new ultra-thin Hummingbird Battery, which can power the MacBook Wheel for a full 19 minutes…”
“And the computer is virtually unbreakable unless dropped or hit.”
“….working on a second generation of the MacBook Wheel, which will be 4 ounces lighter, due to it’s lack of screen, hard drive, or wheel.

    • Decent60

Err, excuse that first line, I was reading the captions the first time around when I started to type this and then listened to it again and the guy says “hard drive or wheel”.

      rofl – really funny
and im sure if apple would make something like this apple-fans would buy it – because its apple…

    • luffy

It has a stupid keyboard? lol.

    • Paul\HellNoire

I’m glad this went over well. Remember, I’m not going to do a joke article often, I just will do it to break the ice and if anyone has any general questions they’d like answered, during the joke posts or emailing Raymond or myself would be the best way to do it. :)
