Quiet Internet Pager – Alternative ICQ Client

QIP is a free unique closed source computer program for immediate cross-Internet communication. The basic functionality of QIP enables its users to see who else is online and available and then easily contact them with text messages in real time sent through a public server. This program is ad-free and it’s lightweight. It has been around for quite a while and they have been updating it all the while. I can confirm with you that this program connects to ICQ server and acts like a alternative client for ICQ but I am not sure why I couldn’t find any of that information on the QIP website.
Some of the features I really like about QIP that ICQ doesn’t have.
- No advertisements. (Yes, ICQ ads can be removed but must be cracked)
- Able to run multiple instances (Run many QIP at a time)
- Able to view IP address for some people
- Able to check the time that they login to ICQ

- Able to remove yourself from user’s contact list

mIRC 6.2 has been released!

Two days ago Khaled Mardam-Bey, the author of mIRC has released a new version which contains 124 changes since mIRC v6.17.
For normal users, I don’t think you’ll be seeing much difference but as for scripters and experienced users, it’s always advisable to keep your client up to date and update your codes.
Of course this new version addresses the buggies and most of the other comments and remarks we received after the previous release. Apart from that Khaled spend lots of time on the UTF-8 support that was added in the previous version. As you might know UTF-8 is a font encoding system that allows you to use fonts with strange, international characters. That of course helps a lot if you want to chat in your own language!

Did you know that Google stores a unique identifier in a cookie on your PC, which allows them to track the keywords you search for? They use this information to compile reports, track user habits, and test features. In the future, it is possible but not for sure that they could sell this information or share it with others. If one Google cookie wasn’t enough, some computers have several installed.

I am surprised to know that Google has tracked my searches for 185 days!

Today I found another program similar to RatioMaster which also enables you to spoof your upload and download on BitTorrent trackers. Most of the functions are nearly the same as RatioMaster except this has “Tabs” which enables you to have multiple instances just like Mozila Firefox browser.

How to cheat BitTorrent ratio by spoofing

A month ago I posted an article about a bug on bittorrent tracker that enables you to increase your upload/download ratio. A lot of bittorrent tracker sites are patched from this bug and if you try to use this bug, your account will be immediately banned.
Few days ago I found RatioMaster and it is an application designed for spoofing uploads on BitTorrent trackers.

RatioMaster connects to a tracker and behaves like a normal BitTorrent client, but without actually uploading to / downloading from other peers in the swarm. It reports to the tracker that it’s uploading (or downloading or both, it’s your choice) at a certain rate, thus making it useful for artificially increasing your ratio on certain sites that track a user’s overall ratio (total uploaded/total downloaded).

Most of the internet service providers(ISP) nowadays are offering broadband DSL connection instead of the slow 56k dial-up which possibly enable us to watch or listen to radio online. It would be so nice to watch other country’s television channels and if you’re a soccer fan, there are also lots of sports channel for you to catch all football matches.
Question is, where can I watch TV online and listen to radio online? What software do I need? As a computer newbie, how do I do it?
Here is the answer to your questions.
