1.6 final is finally out, after the longest beta period in µTorrent’s history. It has MANY improvements, among those being improved download/upload speeds, better handling of BitComets in the swarm, and a totally revamped disk caching system to protect your hard drives.

A cookie is small data files written to a user’s hard drive by a web server. These files contain specific information that identifies users (eg, passwords and lists of pages visited). For example, you sign in to a forum and there’s a checkbox where it says “Remember Me” or something similar to that. Once you enter your log in information and check on that checkbox, a cookie file will be saved on your computer. So the next time you visit that forum again, you won’t need to enter your username and password. You wouldn’t want your username and password saved on a public computer, so it’s best to manually delete all caches and cookies after using a public computer.
Well, fortunately cookies do expire. Once they expired, you need to enter your login information again. The expiration usually depends on the web server. The expired cookies are useless and will take up your disk space. It’s very small, but it’s always a good practice to delete unwanted files on your computer or else one day your computer will be filled with too much junk!
Deleting cookies from Internet Explorer options like the picture below deletes ALL cookies.

So how do you delete only the expired Internet Explorer cookies?

A new Internet Explorer beta shows that Microsoft is trying to put its browser security woes behind it.

The software maker plans to release the third and last beta version of IE 7 on Thursday, getting closer to final delivery by the end of 2006. It will be the first major update to the popular Web browser in five years, and much of the focus for the new version is on security.
“Security was the No. 1 investment we made in IE 7, in terms of our development resources,” Tony Chor, Microsoft’s group program manager for the browser, said in an interview.
Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3 includes advancements in security and browsing experience for end users, functionality and compatibility for developers, and manageability for corporate network administrators. Beta 3 is intended to enable developers, web developers, and IT professionals to begin to test the new browser for compatibility with their applications and websites.
Download Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3 Build 7.0.5450.4 for:
• XP SP2
• Server 2003 SP1
• x64
• ia64
Installing Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3 Build 7.0.5450.4 requires Windows Genuine Validation. If you’ve cracked your Windows Genuine Advantage Validation (WGA), most probably you can just download and install Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3 Build 7.0.5450.4 without problems.
IF you have not cracked or installed Windows Genuine Advantage Validation (WGA), crackers again have thought of a way to install Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3 Build 7.0.5450.4 without validating your Windows simply by replacing a dll file called iecustom.dll.
The steps below shows you how you do it.
Problems installing Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition

I was having problems installing Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition client version yesterday in my work place.
There are 2 methods to install Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition.
First method is put in the CD and wait for the autorun to appear and click on the “Install Symantec Antivirus” bar.

Second method would be browsing the content of the CD, and run Setup.exe from the SAV folder.

Either method is the same. First method actually has an interface where you can click the button and it would call up Setup.exe from the SAV folder. If your autorun has been disabled, you can use the second method which is browse the CD contents and run Setup.exe manually from SAV folder.
The server version of Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition has already been installed. I wanted to install the client version of Symantec Antivirus that will be managed by the server yesterday and was unable to do so.

Just checked Windows Update today and saw that there’s a new Windows Genuine Advantage Notification (KB905474) to install.

It seems like you can still continue downloading and installing other security updates even if you skip updating your Windows Genuine Advantage Notification (KB905474).
If you install the latest Windows Genuined Advantage Validation 1.5.540, it will only update 2 files which is LegitCheckControl.dll and WgaTray.exe. As for WgaLogon.dll, it still retains the old version 1.5.532.
The latest LegitCheckControl.dll is 557KB in size.

4 days ago, Nero announced a newer version of Nero 7 which is version 7.2.3.2b.
Below is the list of changes/bugfixes for Nero version 7.2.3.2.b
• Nero Burning ROM and Nero Express crashed after the DEMO version had expired.
• Bad, scratchy sound when encoding files to mp3 using the ‘standard’ settings
• Multisession was not automatically selected when burning to the image recorder
• UNC support of Nero did not work anymore, so continuing a multi session CD with UNC paths did not work
• Nero Burning ROM did not use the selected partition to create a boot CD
• Nero Express crashed under Windows 98 when adding protected WMA files to a compilation
• Nero Burning ROM had graphical problems under Windows 98 when changing the menu options any kind of animation
• It was possible to select the ISO file system view in the folder panel of the compilation, although a UDF compilation was chosen
• Error message was shown when starting to convert Audio CDs to Nero Digital Audio
Let’s see if the latest version of Nero fixes the MP3 to Audio CD(CDA) skipping problem. It doesn’t say anything on the changes and bugfixes log, but I am going to test it.

I just found an article by Tom Scott on hiding music in your pictures. How cool is that? It’s really cool! You can send special messages in recorded audio that no one would even guess to your friend in picture format.
It’s like combining 2 files to become 1 and when you run the combined file, it will by default display the picture. To listen to the audio that is embedded into the picture file, you’ll need to manually load the combined file into Winamp.
Here’s the test I did.
