Play Downloaded RAR Video Files WITHOUT Extracting and Codecs

Downloading movies or videos from the Internet can be really time consuming because it’s big and most of the time it is divided into 6 parts or more… Biggest nightmare when downloading movies is when you’ve downloaded all 6 parts and then the last part is corrupted at the end. For normal computer users, you’d be frustrated thinking that it could not be extracted and you have to look for another source and redownload everything again. Actually you don’t need to do that because you can command WinRAR to ignore the error and continue extracting whatever it can by enabling “Keep broken files” option under miscellaneous when extracting. The resulting file should work fine.

Another problem that I always face is when extracting downloaded movie files. My laptop only has 3GB free space and a downloaded DVD movie is usually 4.7GB. I do not have enough space to extract the downloaded movie unless I start deleting other files on my hard drive to free up some space.

I found a very special and clever player software that is able to play dvix/xvid movies from RAR file WITHOUT the need to extract first! With this player, I can even play corrupted or incomplete videos from RAR and also don’t need to waste time in extracting movies after downloading.


Dziobas Rar Player Portable lets you play AVI, MPGE, RMVB, OGG, MP3, RAR, MKV, MKA and some not popular
formats even if you don’t have the proper codecs installed. Other than that, it also supports subtitles and automatic downloading subtitles from opensubtitles.org using hash. The name already tells you that it is PORTABLE as there is no need to install. Just download, extract and run DziobasPlayer.exe.

To play RAR movies without extracting:
1. Download Dziobas Rar Player

2. Extract and run DziobasPlayer.exe

3. You can either drag and drop RAR files to Dziobas RAR Player window or go to File and select Open RAR.
Play incomplete or corrupted movie

To play RAR movies while downloading:
1. Completely download first and last part file from movie CD.
Example:
CD2/movie.rar (first part)
CD2/movie.r47 (last part)

2. The first and last parts above must be set as high priority in your torrent client. Wait for download and play in Dziobas Rar Player.

      Thanks for mentioning this player. I really like its functionality – similar program is Winmount – only it only opens archives in a virtual drive.

      i recently downloaded the following movie “rambo.4.xvid.unrated.dvd.screener.english.xms” via a torrent.but it doesn’t play in windows media player,vlc or dziobas.i also installed the k-lite codec pack but no effect.can somebody plsss help me?

      you need to download xvid codecs from xvid.org,yet it could be fake since you downloaded it via a torrent

      hello ray….

      i want to know if its possible to skip a corrupted file and view other files. eg, i have 15 files of 50Mb each, its an avi file compressed in rar format. i have downloaded first 2 files. The 3rd file is partially downloaded(due to connection problems) at 34mb while i have 4th and 5th file fully downloaded.

      When i try to extract(with broken files ticked), it extracts till the 3rd file and gives unexpected end of archive.

      Is there a way to make it continue extraction of 4th and 5th file so that i can view what i have downloaded. Can this player be used for it?

      i hv dwnldd it,but to of no use. I opnd d 2012-rar file,but a msg shows “MPLAYER CRASHED BY BAD USAGE OF CPU/FPU/RAM”..
