RapidShare Cats CAPTCHA Hacked and Auto Recognized by CryptLoad

Nearly 2 months ago RapidShare implemented a new and difficult to beat CAPTCHA system. The CAPTCHAs are displayed as up to 8 warped alphanumeric characters, each with a dog or a cat printed over them. The user then is instructed to type in the 4 letters (although technically some “letters” are actually numbers) with the cat on them.

As you can see that it is tough to us humans for recognize which characters has cats at the sample RapidShare CAPTCHA image above! This new update has gone a little too far just because they want to break CryptLoad, USDownloader, (E)lephant and RSD auto CAPTCHA decryption. All those tools were unable to auto recognized RapidShare CAPTCHA codes for more than a month but now CryptLoad has managed to find a way to decode and auto recognize RapidShare CAPTCHA with cats! Unlimited RapidShare downloading is AGAIN possible with CryptLoad.


I won’t be explaining about how to use CryptLoad because I’ve already written about it last year. If you haven’t read that article, here’s the link. It gives you an idea what is Cryptload, what it can do and how to use it in step-by-step. Basically CryptLoad is a free software that can download from RapidShare as a free user as if they were a premium user. There is no need to wait to continue downloading the next file and also there is no need to enter the confusing CAPTCHA codes as it is recognized and entered automatically.

When I got to know that latest CryptLoad is able to auto recognized RapidShare CAPTCHA, I was very excited to test it but wasn’t able to because RapidShare happy hours were still active. I had wait until at night when the happy hours are deactivated. I ran CryptLoad, added a rapidshare link, and the 4 letters containing cats were instantly and automatically entered without feeling that it had to go through some kind of OCR program.

CryptLoad has improved a lot since the last time I’ve written about it. One of the biggest update is the online CryptLoad CLR-Creator. Previously if we want CryptLoad to support our router for reconnect, we’ll have to contact one of the creator of Cryptload to help us create the CLR file. But now, we can do it ourselves. Just install Live HTTP Headers plugin for Firefox and capture the text data when you manually reconnect the Internet from your router. Paste the text data into the online Cryptload CLR-Creator and it will create a CLR file that supports your router. You can refer to CryptLoad WIKI on how to do that.

Other than that, everything else is pretty much the same. Their next major update CryptLoad version 2 will be much lighter and support Mac OS, Linux and possibly PS3! Keep up the good work Apokalyser, Borka and Shira! Although some people say that other tools are better, I personally felt that CryptLoad is the best!

I just want to clarify that CryptLoad is a download manager for file hosting websites that supports a lot of powerful features and it is NOT a hacking tool. Thanks Frank Z. for sharing this latest news with me!

      I was using (E)lephant before, yest downloaded cryptload, and was surprised to see it decodes the captcha, anywayz gud news for free users :-) ray u keep writing !!

      As long as you download from the official site, it is safe. But if you get it from anywhere else, especially torrent/warez/p2p, it is sure to be *loaded*.

      Hey Ray i got a prob,i use an ADSL modem to connect and there is a bat file called reconnect in router/modem folder with lines

      rasdial %1 /DISCONNECT
      rasdial %1 %2 %3

      but this only disconnects my modem but doesnt not reconnect it…so i used the lines from ur previous post

      Hi! thanks for this raymond, I have a question, how come my symantec is detecting and removing netcat something like that when I install this Cryptload. Can I install cryptload to a portable flashdisk and run it?

      seems dumb to host it on R/S , easy for them to delete it off there own server & also we\\\’re trying to get away from waiting for downloads ,so i got to wait 90 mins to download this software

      hi raymond, thanx for the good work yo doing. i\’m wondering if there is a way to bypass blocked sites like rapidshare, mediafire, zshare, i\’m at university but it seems the administrators filter these sites there\’s no way u can access them, pliiz if u have any solution, help. otherwise keep it up.

      Hi Raymond,

      I use an ADSL modem to download files from RapidShare using only its free download mode. When one file downloaded completely, simply i switch off my ADSL modem and i switch on after few seconds and i continue downloading the next file(no need to wait some X mins for another file using free download mode).. (ie) For me, always happy hour in Rapid Share.

      4 BIG FAT CAT out of 10 is easy.

      ALWAYS CHOOSE 4 BIG FAT ANYMAL in between and you will get 4 CATs.

      I got 9 good out of 10 download so far.

      and it is offer to the other rapidshare download manager like cryptload, RSD, …

      thats bullshit, we developed our own captcha method.
      its pure c++. jd uses java, just check it in the ocr folder…

      Hi Raymond,
      I hhave internet through catv. My isp changes my ip address only if I change the mac of the device wich connects to the modem, for me it’s a router.
      Do you have any ideea how could I automate rapidshare downloading in such conditions? Guess I have to generate random macs…

      Hi Raymond,

      Recently rapidshare enforced wait time to 15 minutes and I contacted cryptload administrators. But nothing being resolved rather than creating a clr. But the wait time still counts 15. Do you have any suggestions how to bypass this? I am a free user by the way.
