First I would like to apologize for not explaining or informing why was I out of action for nearly a month (again). Long story short, in the month of March, both Google and Chitika disabled ad serving to my blog site because they accused that my site is a hack/crack site. I was unsuccessful in getting my account reinstated and was pretty upset and disappointed about it. I started this blog site 5 years ago to help people, to share what I’ve learned and I still have the same motive even after 5 years has passed. When my site was being labeled as a hacking website, I really had no motivation to continue in updating this site nor continue with the X-Ray release.

When I could not use Adsense, I can only go with TribalFusion which explains the annoying popups that some of you are getting. I hope you would understand that I had no choice and TribalFusion is the only better paying advertising company compared to others (Bidvertiser, Adbrite) that could cover the cost of the expensive monthly dedicated server rental and administration fees.

I have done so many tests and written reviews on security applications and antivirus, how to manually remove viruses, fixing/restoring the damages that virus has done, even the upcoming X-Ray project is also a security software, I honestly find it hard to believe that these big companies labels my website a hack site.


Thankfully one of very helpful Google employee named Melissa has helped me to contact the Google Policy team and have them to review my site again. After 2 weeks, the ban on Adsense was lifted but Chitika still remains the same.

If you haven’t noticed, the article posted yesterday was written by Paul, a talented 20 year old guy from Canada that goes by the nickname of HellNoire in forum. Don’t let the nickname scare you because he is very helpful, dedicating a lot of his time in helping people with computer problems in forum and also moderating it whenever I am away. In fact his number of post in forum is even catching up on mine. Seeing him that he has so much passion for computers especially Linux, I have invited him to share with you all on his experience with computers.

Other than that, I’ve also finally upgraded the forum to the latest vBulletin 4. Some tweaks has been done on the blog theme to reduce the amount of database calls and updated the ad codes for Google Analytics and BuySellAds to use asynchronous code so that the website loads faster.

During my time away from updating this blog, I have received numerous emails and comments asking if everything is all right. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your continuous support and care. I WILL be back in full swing starting next week.

      I am regular reader of your blog and your forum too, I was thinking what went wrong as you were not posting for almost a month or so.

      But now I do understand that what went wrong… The same thing happened to me in Dec 2008, Google had disabled my Adsense account for the same reason. I also tried to retain my account but they dint do it.

      It really hurts when I blog about how to NOT get your Orkut/ Gmail/ Google account hack and other tips to be safe when using your accounts, my Adsense account was disabled :(

      I know its lot to ask but I would really appreciate if you can help me in retaining my Adsense account.

      could it be the presentation of your blog? Don’t you think it is time to get a custom made wordpress theme? Most splog uses the default theme found online without customization.

      try thesis or buy a wordpress theme. i think presentation is important. a good example is lifehacker, even with the word hacker, everybody knows it is not a hacking site if they were to visit the blog.

      Being banned from Adsense could sound like one of the worst thing in life (and it can be!), but I’m glad you got it back… they banned me like three years ago being accused of nudity! totally insane and false! but I had no luck to have adsense review my case…

      Do you now get why Raymond is worried about the ads and all that? It’s because without them, he wouldn’t be able to support this site any longer! Ads are like “helpers”, they contribute to some of the fees for hosting this site.

      Oh, and I sent Chitika that they should unblacklist you, Raymond from their blacklist of sites. I told them to review your site again and carefully check that your site does not contain any cracks/hacks.

      Though, the hacks are safe and legal, not harmful at all. There’s a difference between good and bad hacks.

      Guys, there ARE hacks on this site, but they are NOT bad. All legal. Like say the Kaspersky CBG or something… there was a registry hack to make it english… that’s safe, cause the english conversion was already included with Kaspersky CBG, and the registry hack just changes it from German to English. Nothing harmful. :)

      If Ray is discovering any profit from revenue generated by ads it has to be a very small amount.

      This site is hosted in a dedicated server and you have no idea the cost involved. Bloggers like Ray have to depend on revenue generated by Ad-sense and Chitika to cover the hosting expenses.

      Believe me or not, maintaining a blog is not so easy as reading or criticizing it. I know that by heart because I am a blogger myself.

      It’s only the passion to help people, can motivate some one to take so much of trouble. I am running a free Pastors’ resource blog and God alone knows how much of hard work, time, money and knowledge I spend on that.

      I am running that blog, NOT because I have nothing else to do but I have a PASSION!! to help people in my niche.

      Ray knows a lot and he is going the extra mile to share his knowledge with you and me. He is doing something good, and I don’t care about what he is doing with the revenue. It’s non of my business…. Please learn to appreciate other people’s efforts and be a strength unto them.

      Just some thought’s:

      Back in the day Hacker was a term used to describe a person that understood operating systems, and was able to change code to solve problems and overcome the limits of the OS.
      The majority of time spent by a hacker involved these pursuits, and were benign in nature.

      With the advent of on-line shopping, and banking a more nefarious person appeared who allowed the darker side of his or her character to control their talents, and to use those talents to harvest identification numbers of other user’s for dubious means.

      With this advent the term Cracker was born.
      I suppose some of us are guilty of “cracking” our own systems when we use password revealer’s or use an OS CD to circumvent the Admin password.

      With google’s recent flap with the Chinese Gov. I could see how google would be sensitive to intrusive behavior, and any connection to them, i.e. adsense.
      To use the term loosely we are all “hackers” even google’s IT techs, how do you think they come up with their labs? But to call Raymond.CC a hacker/cracker site is ludicrous.

      Perhaps Raymond, you failed to help an un or ill-informed person or business entity, and that is what lead to your recent difficulties.

      I don’t know ’bout the other visitors to your blog, but for the first time for me “google” has graciously offered to install its toolbar as an add-on :(

      I am a Tech schooled person, Elec/Comp Technician, so it is a pleasure to see the vigor you apply to explaining very complex subjects to the general Computer user, and taking the fear away, even for myself, about manipulating the deeper recesses of the Internet, Computing, Hardware and software, not in a “Hack” way, but in a exploring, imaginative manner !

      It is easy to see why once the Google Rep you mentioned, after some further investigating of your Blog and the Forum concluded that you are not a rogue hacker, as we who know you find a ridiculous assumption in itself.

      It takes a lot of guts to take the subjects you tackle and post them here. The innocence in picking up on a magazine giveaway that has a slight flaw is obvious. Who knows, maybe magazines and their clients leave their products available on purpose to attract users to trial, and buy softwares ?

      I have often read you say it’s no good to go looking for serials, and hacked products, and I see a lot of your work goes into educating your followers that if they put their efforts persuing such paths it would be dangerous and unnecessary, plus unethical.

      It is difficult as a Technician, I see a whole lot of stuff going on when I use a Computer; I don’t just use programs, the whole system is constantly on my mind, rather than just using software to write a letter, etc.
      I feel the fact that generally people who talk of “deeper” Technical subjects in a personal Blog are deemed “hacks” is unfortunate, have a look at some MVP’s Blogs and you’ll see similar topics as here, but are deemed as helpful.

      In any case thankyou for poking your head out and helping so many folk, and on a higher level thanks for the selfless hard work you put into this very important Blog, and Forum.
