Ironically, installing recovery software can destroy the files you are trying to recover. When a file is deleted, the space it takes up is considered to be free space. When you download, and install a program (such as recovery software), it could possibly overwrite the file you are trying to recover.

I have found the best thing to do is to recover from a live cd. As soon as you find out you need to recover a file, turn your computer off. From another computer, download a live CD. The live cd does not use the hard drive to boot the computer, thus keeping your files safe.

Try BootMed. http://www.bootmed.com It is a live cd that comes with tutorials and 4-5 file recovery programs.

They are great, but i couldn’t find my lost file(Image). =( I accidentally deleted it in my digi cam, i forget to copy it first. So, i deleted it INSIDE my digi cam. Anyone can help me? Thnx!
