Found a newer backdoor tip on how to register MORE Live.com passport account. Get it quick before this bug is fixed and also while your easy-to-remember username might still be available! Just tested and registered my own @windows.com account! Yea!
Before you start following the steps below, please use Mozilla Firefox browser. I don’t know why I tried on Internet Explorer 7 and it doesn’t work at all!
1. Click HERE
2. Copy the following javascript code:
3. Paste the code in your address bar (where you usually type in the URL).
4. Hit enter, if all went well it should show a message box telling you “More Live IDs have been added!“.
It adds:

CUSTOM.COM – If you discover another domain that you want to use, Just Find “CUSTOM.COM” in the script and change it to “WHATEVER.COM/NET/ORG/COM.AU/CO.UK etc…”

I registered a custom @windows.com account but Hotmail is not supported for this domain. So you can only get the Live ID. Perhaps at a later time it will be supported.

I was able to create Microsoft IDs by following your instructions but what can I do when they ask me to verify the account since it\\\’s not a real account? Where do they send the link for verification to since I can\\\’t open it as a normal email address?

Step 2: Click the link under “Use an e-mail address you already have”
Step 3: Sign up with any email account
Step 4: Profit?
And I ve just grew up :D
There is no way to use these accounts as a mail kids.

It works, Just fine. It is just that you do not create an email account. Just a messenger ID. I created today 20-12, 2 accounts.
This doesn’t work anymore — you are able to add these domains to the drop down, but you can create actual email accounts. When you create custom.com or windows.com, all you’re doing is creating logins that Microsoft doesn’t care for…
