I just figured out how to fix the problem, myself. E-mails were not only being received 5 hours ahead of regular central time, but also were ahead by 5 hours on sent e-mails, as well. Everything is operating perfectly, now.

I purchased a new Toshiba T135 laptop computer on 6-22-10. Serial No. Z9090273W. All incoming e-mails are registered coming into my computer 5 hours ahead of regular time. I have even tried replying immediately to my own e-mail sent and it still registers as coming in 5 hours ahead of the current time. I have checked that the time zone is correct at U.S./Canadian Central Zone. The registered current time in the lower right hand corner is correct. I have checked with computer knowledgeable people and even called Toshiba at 1-800-457-7777 yesterday about this problem. None of them know what to suggest. Please help me solve this problem.

Hi!
I got a problem with my sent and received emails from hotmail, the time on those emails are 4 hours ahead from my time zone (Santiago, Chile) I checked that the correct time is set on my pc and I have also checked that my hotmail calendar also shows the correct time zone. I use Ubuntu on my laptop but I had this problem way before switching to Ubuntu, in fact if I long on on any other computer using windows it will show the same time difference on my emails and the time zone.

Thanks! I hope someone can help me!

I sent an email on 1/19 at 12:57 am. The receiver of the email responded and the time stamp was 1/18 at 10:22 pm. Both of our laptops have the correct time and date entered. There is a problem somewhere that needs to be addressed and fixed.
