i downloaded and installed wgav 1.831.0. i can get internet updates but i cant install sp2 or above. I can download it from mirror patches but it keeps trying to validate. any suggestions ?

I was able to do a windowsupdate without any problem. But I keep getting a little nagger in the bottom right, telling me ‘Unable to complete genuine Windows validation’. Is there a way to shut this up?

Hey downloaded the file from 9down ( the link above is the same file also, also noticed some posts 9down does not have the file, the message came out when I was using DAP, I selected regular download the next try and was successful.) ran the installer.bat , It did’nt have any errors that I noticed, probably because I was able to download the windows WGA that kept me from downloading from windows update. and it worked without rebooting. I was able to get thru the wga download required page and check on the updates. Good job again Eth0!
