    Fibre Optics

    why malaysian fibre optics service(eg:metrofon n penangfon) is not so popular like streamyx n d others ISP??

    Just a guess, fibre optics is relatively new to the Malaysian shores, so companies can only offer to push this service to densely populated areas like the Klang valley, Penang, and certain parts in KL.

    TMNet is probably to lazy or lack the financial resources to upgrade their lines to fiber optic lines, so we are stuck with slow speeds and inconsistencies..

    Now we should take a cue from Estonia..

    the price for 2mbps fibre optics = streamyx 384kbps plan......Murah!!!..lol

    Ya right! Being Malaysia number 1 ISP and they monopolizes the market, I doubt they lack the financial resources. Maybe they feel why need to give malaysian so high speed? Speed kils.

    They speed is ok but they just give 70% of it, if you get 2mbps, you will get 1.7mbps and not full speed like your package.

    damn..i hate screamyx......lol....government need to realize the important of this technology,or else our country will be left behind other developing country...btw,gov need to prioritize this fibre optics tech rather than the ''screamyx''...make it as our default ISP laa.....lol
