I find it dreadfully painful to keep registering it over and over again, so I'm sticking to my favourite, CCleaner. Oh well.

    Hellnoire,

What do you mean "registering it over and over"? You just need to register it once. For one computer that is; you are trying to put it on multiple computer I assume?

No, I mean exactly what it sounds like. When I reboot or turn the computer off, it doesn't save the key and it asks me to put the license in again. It's on one PC, a laptop to be exact, and the only thing I'm doing is putting it in, it says the key is stored, then the reboot removes it.

And before you ask, no, I don't have UAC on It's one of the first things I remove from Vista.

Wait a second: now I know what happened to me!

You see when I first installed East-Tec Eraser 08, registered it and all. The next day I open up my computer and find East-Tec installed but unregistered. At that point I swore I did register it but thought maybe I did not so I registered it again. Now I know why it unregistered.

However since then East-Tec Eraser 2008 stays registered and works just fine; I even tested rebooting my computer just now to see if it unregisters and it did not. I am also on Vista. Do you mind PMing me your computer specs in more detail? I can pass it on to the developer to see if there is some sort of known issue.

The upgrade that comes in the email works as well,I upgraded for $17CAN which isn't bad compared to $50US at their site. That was for 2 years to.When I installed the 2008 version it popped up a little triangle down by my clock and I exited that and it took the key no problem.I'm on Vista to.I'm curious about the free space wipe that comes with this.Has anyone tried it?

I'm doing a free space wipe on my son's computer and we'll see if this is actually any benefit to the user at all. It's a 40 gig with 16.09 gigs free.

This free space wipe took 50 mins. When it completed I had 16 GB free.
