    Wink

Guys, that is only a 30 days trial, if I am not wrong...

What about this better 'leaked offer'?

How to get free AVG Antivirus Pro for 9 years:

There is a 'leaked' serial key/license number for AVG Anti-Virus Pro which will only expire on February 26, 2018. That means a full 9 YEARS validity and free usage from now.

The license number will activate a full version of AVG Anti-Virus 8.5 Pro.

All you have to do is simply download and install the latest version of AVG AntiVirus Pro Setup.

The latest version is V8.5: avg_ipw_stf_en_85_386a1586.exe. Make sure to download AVG paid version installation file and not the trial version installation file.

You can download it from this download page:
    http://www.avg.com/download?prd=aav

or directly download it from here:
    http://www.avg.com/filedir/inst/avg_...5_386a1586.exe

When prompt for license number during installation, enter the following serial key:

    8MEH-REDSL-7ETEC-ULA8R-EAOKL-4EMBR-ACED

Once installation is completed, AVG Anti-Virus full retail edition will have the license expiry date of 2/26/2018.

Enjoy Free AVG Anti-Virus for 9 Years Till 2018.

    Hope that works for you.

P.S. I hope I am not going to be 'banned' from this forum simply because of this. I am definitely not sure how legal this is but it's not like we are using cracks/keygen or anything like that. I have tried it before and I assure you it works fine...although it is unclear and strange as to why AVG is not 'blacklisting' this key...If they seriously did not want people to use it, they should have done so...Anyway, it is their loss and our gain...If anybody disagree with me (especially Raymond and the moderators here), I am fine with you guys editing/deleting this post...just don't ban me...that's all.

And one more thing; this key works for AVG Antivirus Pro, I have no idea if it works for AVG Internet Security 8.5. If someone tried this key with the Internet Security, I hope he/she can post here the result as to whether it works or not...

    This is illegal!
At least the AVG Online-Key-Checker does not confirm its validity! Further it's very unlikely to give away a legal key for 18 years free updates...

On a Virtual Machine with XP Home SP3 the activation works on AVG IS 8.5, but remember, you're performing illegal actions! For myself I won't use it!

    Wink

    Relax Mitschl,

There is absolutely NO NEED to get tensed up because of this...I have said earlier that I don't know the legality aspects of this...you may think it is ILLEGAL but others might not...think of it this way:

We are not hacking the program...so nothing illegal about this.
We are not using cracks/keygen...so nothing illegal about this.

    We are not sharing key that can only be activated once only;
this key can actually be used for 145,000 times (I can't guarantee this as a fact but I got to know this from my 'source'). If this was really true, I doubt that this has been used up...hence, its probably still valid.

(If it is meant only for one-time use, why in the world is AVG still accepting the use of this key???; I don't know about the AVG Online-Key-Checker and why it is not accepting the key as valid; but one thing for sure I know is that if you install the program and use this key, AVG still ACCEPTS it as valid. It is strange but true. I can't explain this better but I guess it's just a 'bug' in the program activation...)

However, Mitschl, you are right about one thing; it's very unlikely for AVG to give away a legal key for use...they would have been 'stupid' to do so...but as I mentioned earlier it was 'leaked' on the internet...If you think this is illegal, think again...

What about those other promo 'leaks' which were meant only for specific groups of people? Those promos that we all 'share' with one another...those promos that were 'shared' by our dear Raymond sir, the well-known 4freeoninternet team, and many others... Are you saying that all these are clearly 100% ILLEGAL?

I don't think so...for me, this type of thing is complicated to explain...the best and safest thing I can say is that these aren't completely LEGAL but at the same time, aren't completely ILLEGAL...

It all depends on your judgement, your views, your perspectives...

My main point is if you are not comfortable in using the key, then don't use it...NO ONE is forcing you to...but I clearly disagree with you when you said this:

    This is illegal!
This is wrong. It is not up to you to decide as to whether this is illegal or not.
You could have said this instead:

    "I think this is illegal."

There is a whole lot of difference to it.

On a Virtual Machine with XP Home SP3 the activation works on AVG IS 8.5, but remember, you're performing illegal actions! For myself I won't use it!
On the other hand, I find it amusing and ironical that you have just done an 'illegal' action even though it is on a Virtual Machine. Anyway, thanks for the information, it really helps...at least now, I can tell the rest of the members that the key works for AVG Internet Security 8.5 too.

P.S. You have made a mistake here:

a legal key for 18 years free updates...
It's not 18 years free updates...it's just 9 years free updates for AVG Antivirus Pro and 9 years free updates for AVG Internet Security...these two things are not the same...

And for those of you who have any doubts about the use of the key, I suggest getting the Free version instead...no guilt conscience whatsoever...but come to think of it, why not just get Avira Free (most techies agree that Avira Free is way better than AVG Free)

    Enjoy.

Awsome!! Thanks safeguy. I downloaded AVG Internet Security 8.5. entered the activation code and it installed AVG antivirus so I guess the code reverts it back to the AVG Anti Virus instead of the Internet security (correct?).

    To Taz,

the code reverts it back to the AVG Anti Virus instead of the Internet security (correct?)
Honestly speaking, I don't know...I have only tried the key with the Antivirus Pro setup only...but if what you said is true, I guess you are not really missing much...

Take a look at the comparison of all the AVG products at a glance here:
    http://www.avg.com/2210

Based on the chart, you are missing three components namely Firewall, Identity Protection, and Anti-Spam.

You can always use a free third-party firewall like Comodo, Online Armour, etc. (the list goes on...just make sure that the firewall you choose is compatible with AVG...this is very important)

    As for the Identity Protection:

"AVG Identity Protection uses a technology called behavioral analysis to make sure all the programs running on your PC are operating the way they should. If it spots something suspicious that could indicate an attempted identity theft attack, it shuts that activity down, preventing any possible theft from happening. It doesn’t matter whether you’re running AVG software or security software from another vendor; identity protection runs alongside all popular programs to keep you safer when they’re online."

You can always use a program such as ThreatFire Free which also works almost 'similarly' to Identity Protection; that is based on behavioural analysis...

For Anti-Spam, there is a lot of free alternatives you can choose from...I suggest you take a look at this site:

    http://email.about.com/od/windowsspa.../free_spam.htm

    Hope that helps.

    To findingmyzen,

AVG is not worth the hassle.
I can't resist it but to agree with you to a large extent that AVG isn't really worth the hassle. However, that remark would be more suitable for the Free version...the Pro version is considerably better although undeniably there are better competitors in the market...Nevertheless, to each his own..I am pretty sure that there are AVG users/lovers/supporters here that would find my post useful.

P.S. I guess its better for me to make a declaration here; I am a strong Avira supporter. I honestly think it rocks...
