    @ safeguy:
    Thx for the productive discussion

I know this feeling: you're extremely convinced of s.th. and then if s.o. expresses other opinion you are willing to defend yours not accepting others...

    But no problem there...

"Erm, Mitschl, are you sure about what you said here...from what I understand, you are trying to imply that it is 'fine' (who cares...) as long as the key was not sent to the AVG servers. Are you trying to justify yourself here...using 'illegal' key is fine as long as the activation is done 'offline'...???

If that is so, I guess the other members here can use the key too (who cares...) as long as they activate it 'offline'...hehe"

    I guess you missunderstood...
I never had the intention to use that key because I knew about its illegality. I just tried activation because s.o. asked in this thread whether activation on IS works or not.
Further I'm a person who really cares about privacy!
So, I guess, at every update at AVG-servers the serial is transmitted, so it would not be enough to just activate while offline, because at next update the key would be transmitted anyway.
The most important thing for me is not to send any of my personal data to AVG (including illegal activities that I might have performed while activating their product with keygen-generated key )

So, for ME, personally, there was nothing illegal and AVG, they have none of my data...

And, NO, this should not encourage others to do illegal stuff

LOL, thanks for that...honestly, I didn't realise that.

    To Ted,

I agree with you...AVG is not really as good as some others such as Kaspersky and Eset...

    To Naveenraj_ab,

I have seen lots of people recommending Kaspersky and that includes dear Raymond. Unfortunately, I have always missed the promotions...if you do know of any existing promo that's still working, mind if you tell me..I have been searching for one but all that I found were expired promos...

    Oops forgot to say this...

Mitschl isn't a girl?? I am indeed disappointed but hey, we can be good pals...
