Free BitDefender 2010 for 6 months

Free BitDefender 2010 for 6 months

Some time back, there was a promotion (Germany) that allows us to get 6 months free of BitDefender Total Security 2010,
It was 'shared' with us by Raymond here:

    http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/...e-license-key/

The process involved using Germany proxy but it was found out that all those who registered received the same common serial key.
Although the license key was meant for BitDefender Total Security 2009, some users found out that it works with BitDefender Internet Security 2009 too.

Good news is that I found out that the key can be used for the latest version 2010.

Your current license is valid and can be used without problems with any version of BitDefender that is released until your license key expires.
    Quoted from: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=14238

So now, let's get to serious business.
Here are the procedures to get BitDefender 2010 free for 6 months :

    1. Download BitDefender Total Security 2010 and install.
    2. Register the product with the folllowing 'universal' license key:

    BB7798E9A1E6E5B1E044

    3. That's it. Enjoy BitDefender 2010 6 months free.

(You can also get 7 months free. Simply download and install the trial version of BitDefender 2010. Use it until the 30 days trial expires before using the above 6 months license key.)

As mentioned earler, this should work with BitDefender Total Security 2010 and perhaps BitDefender Internet Security 2010 too. I don't know if it works with BitDefender Antivirus 2010 but someone here might want to give it a shot.

You can download the installer files using the following links:

    BitDefender Antivirus 2010 Installer:

    http://download.bitdefender.com/wind...s_2010_32b.exe (32bit)
    http://download.bitdefender.com/wind...s_2010_64b.exe (64bit)

    BitDefender Internet Security 2010 Installer:

    http://download.bitdefender.com/wind...y_2010_32b.exe (32bit)
    http://download.bitdefender.com/wind...y_2010_64b.exe (64bit)

    BitDefender Total Security 2010 Installer:

    http://download.bitdefender.com/wind...y_2010_32b.exe (32bit)
    http://download.bitdefender.com/wind...y_2010_64b.exe (64bit)

Hope it works out fine for you guys and enjoy.

Credits: The 'universal' license key has been shared/posted on this forum thrice:

P.S. Can someone please test if the key works with BitDefender Antivirus 2010 and post the result here?

I agree...Avira rocks. But you can get even better protection for free...I suggest reading this post by Ashraf:
