Hi,
Guys....as I already said .... I agree with this :
Best regards !In here, I think we should put all the freeware, whither updated or not, so long as it's not a game.

I just think it would be cleaner then having it all thrown into the General Freebies.
Just don't put your thanks in here, just post the software, perhaps a bit of a review, but kinda like the GAOTD thread, just meant to be a link place for non-giveaways.
posted by grrOpen source and freewares are a go, giveaways are not. That's for the main Freebies section.
posted by murphyThanks, so now the title could be edited to say "Open source and freewares only".
Hi hellnoire and murphy,1. Without posts with ,,Thanks ..... Nice find.... ,, .
2. Just useful info .
To summarize what I understood:
1. All the freeware (Open source and freewares only)
2. No giveaways
3. No games
4. No “thanks”, no “nice finds” posts
5. Some useful information (perhaps a bit of a review)
Are we still discussing the status of this thread, what this thread should be about, and what kind of software should we post about? If that is the case, please let me know, because as you can see I already have started posting here about freeware applications and I’m a little bit confused as everybody else is still discussing the thread. I have no problems with that, but I think we should clarify if we are discussing the status of the thread, so everybody will know that we are supposed to give contributions to the discussion; or if the status is already defined and we are supposed to post about freeware. Otherwise, it will be difficult to “have stuff moved into”, and so it will be difficult to know if it was a good idea (which I think it was, a good idea
).
Thanks. Cheers.

Hi hellnoire, thank you for your answer. My doubt was not about the rules, which I think are clear enough. I just don’t understand if we are supposed to post right now about applications, or if we are still discussing about the thread (the usefulness, the content and the structure)
. Cheers.
