It takes too much RAM. system requirement : 1gb of RAM or more
Thoughts are like a never ending ocean where it is deep, endless and dangerous

What takes, Acronis? Than go with Paragon, for instance Drive Backup 9.0 Professional has the following requirements:
* CPU: Intel Pentium or compatible, 233MHz or higher processor
* RAM: 128 MB of RAM required (256 MB or greater recommended)
* Disk space: 100 Mb
* Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher
During this year there where lots of Paragon promos available, check for instance 4Free site.

probably better giving it a miss just now till you see how others cope with it.
Personally myself I did not like any of their other security programs and I cannot see this being any better.
As far as i can make out it is rather slow and does not scan incoming e-mails which could lead to problems.
But the choice is yours.

Anybody think to actually READ the EULA this time? Remember,this is M$ you're dealing with.Check it out to see how far up your a@@ Uncle Billions intends to get with this installation(agree,agree.agree...).Note that it will put forth it's own set of rules for your Windows updates as well.I went ahead to check it out,and seems my Win7U runs a little flaky now (maybe an Antivir conflict or 64bit comp issue).Most disturbing is the lack of any options from the Notification Icon-Open is the only one available.You have to kill this via System Services to put it to sleep.A bit more testing,but it looks destined for bye bye.From what I've read,it's a real Mother F'r to get rid of as well.

After reading all the reviews given by you ppl,my conclusion is as for freeware both Avira & Avast are on the top (for 32 Bit OS),but mostly all the topmost AV's dont work well with the X64 Bit OS,for 64 Bit OS now we all have the choice to install a fully working freeware "Microsoft Security Essentials" as per the latest reviews this is good enough.

What you complaining about? Its free! lol. It rates rather highly in reviews but wont compare to the likes of Nod32, eset, Avast and Avira, though it uses less cpu than AVG apparently. Its a beta, if it sucks, dont DL it. Simple.

You can be still protected from drive-by download malwares, It has proactive protection module. Don't expect too much on this product. It was not intended to compete with top senior players. It only do provide simple and basic security protection for most windows users. and it don't need to be as comprehensive as a suite.
If MS will do take ( its AV program ) it seriously,that's a doomsday scenario for the other smaller competitors and yet face another possible antitrust sanctions for monopolizing that field.

In my mail...
was the review by PC Mag,but they only like Norton there anyway,and rate nearly everything else as average,below average,or poor.So,take from it what you will.
