yes ,,ceyfer,, ...... You have asked a good question and i understand your point of view .
When i check Task Manager i see that ,,a2guard.exe,, using 28.120 K ( ~28 Mb) but sometimes the usage increase to ~ 100 Mb. For me is not a problem , my computer ( E2180 ) memory is 4 GB ( DDR2-800 MHz ).

I have installed it in 3 computers (in 2 computers together with KIS, the third together with Nod32/OA Premium, all of them with 2 GB RAM).
A2 uses 120 MB of RAM.

Not answering your question about resource usage as I don't have A2 installed. I took it off after the false positives- Turbo Tax 2007 and a few others. Plus A2 still does not work with ad muncher (or vise versa).
