Since GiveAwayOfTheDay gives away freebies everyday, can I kindly make a request that all GOTD freebies to be mentioned here...that way we can reduce the number of new threads created on Freebies section & let the mods have an easier job

After having a discussion with the other Mods, we have come to a conclusion and we are requesting all members to please:

1. Before posting, please check with dotTech.org unofficial detailed reviews on the software that is given out by GiveawayoftheDay.com. and provide a link at the end to Ashraf's review of the giveaway[/B] (unless Ashraf went on a holiday or didn't post a review for it)...that helps to ease members here make the decision whether to try the program or not.

2. And yes, I hope you have read this:

6. For the sake of our member's security, please do NOT:

c.) Do NOT post about Promotions/Giveaways that take place on sites/blogs rated as unsafe ( red ) by WOT .

P.S. Honorable mention here:

I know that some of us here are frequent users of GOTD but we hate the fact that the Setup.exe file from GOTD always connect to the internet to verify that the giveaway period is still on.

Here's how to 'remove' that annoyance and backup the original installer file so that we can install it at a later time (even after the GOTD offer is over)

Crave World Clock is a nice looking clock for people who wish to keep in touch with friends, colleagues and clients around the world. The current date and time will be displayed for all major cities and countries on a real world map which shows day/night effects and real-time imagery provided by NASA. You can quickly add multiple cities of your choice on the World Map using Add/Remove City tool.

The clock minimizes to system tray, so you can quickly open it any time you want or access the context-menu with right-click on tray icon. You will be able to set the world map as your desktop wallpaper. The wallpaper will be updated to show current time for displayed cities every minute.

My recommendation for a history/privacy cleaner program is CCleaner - it is the king in this category.,,
