For everyone's information, however, Norton Site Security rates it as an unsafe site, and says the file has a virus. I'm going to wait for more comments on this site before I download it.

I received the same email yesterday, but its only in german and couldnt found to make it english, the current version is 2.3. The installer is different. But the soft is good for those who speeks german.

Thanks PeterB for letting us know about the giveaway... i don't rate it to be honest but if your into giving software a run out then by all means try it out... make sure you make a system restore point, before you make changes to your system with this software...it's been around for years and there is little i find about it interesting...

sorry, can't help. I use xp. i did manage to find and old english version of xp smoker. i replaced the .exe and works fine.

An alternative solution is to install the english trial and take screenshots, and put them into a word document.
then it is easy to see compared to the registered German version.

yes it is always good to make a system restore point and yes, it has been around for a long time. I think it is a good AIO-tweektool. not many allows you to change the L2 cache settings. my cpu is a E8400 with 6mb L2 cache. i once did come across another tweaktool, but the slider stopped at 2mb.
